Wife speaking:) This is basically a cute fleece sweatshirt jacket. The outside feels like a heavy sweatshirt material, inside is fleece. I'm 5 ft 5 in weigh 150lbs. The large fits me with some room for layering. It is warm for midwest winters. I ordered the wine color, it's a shade brighter than in the picture but still ok. I hadn't bought myself a new coat in almost 20 years, and really wanted to update my look. I absolutely love this coat! When I first opened the package, I was surprised at how light it was—I guess I thought it would be thick and bulky, and was worried that the thinner, more flexible feel of it meant it might not keep me warm enough. But this coat is amazingly warm and doesn't make me feel like my limbs are constricted by outerwear. I've gotten so many compliments on the pretty color and the overall look, and I feel great while wearing it.
