Took only a couple minutes to assemble. I noticed the bulbs were pretty big and bright. They aren't quite as bright as the listing shows, but they do illuminate an area with a nice yellow old-fashioned (warm) glow. They are made of plastic, so I needed to be careful steaking them into the ground. Solar cells on top aren't huge, so I'll also need to ensure 6 to 8 hours of light to give them a full charge. I've got them placed in an area that for now will receive lots of sun, but not so much during the summer when leaves come out in full. I'll not expect more than 3 hours of light from these at that point. We usually get what we pay for. These definately are decent for the price, even though they are all plastic. The top where electronics and the light are fixed seems sealed well enough for ants NOT to invade. Some of the ones I've used were infested with tiny ants by late summer destroying electronics inside. I believe these will be fine. Recommended solar steak lighting. ... show more

Installing the lights is very easy. They come with three plastic sections for inserting in the ground, so you can choose to have them higher off the ground or nearer the ground. Putting it together is as simple as sliding the pieces together. To turn them on, you twist the top off and flip the switch to on, then twist it back on. Very easy. After that it's just putting them in the ground and letting the sun do the work! The batteries are excellent. A full day of sunlight will have the lights shine for a long time, possibly all night. I took a look at them at 4am, and they were still very bright and weren't dimming at all, so it seems likely that they last all night. These lights work as you'd expect them to. Not super bright, but certainly bright enough to outline pathways, sidewalks, etc.. My only complaint about them is that they look... well, cheap. The body is all plastic and it clearly looks like it. During the night, they light up and no one will be able to tell that they are fairly cheap plastic. These are beautiful outdoor solar lights. The warm light color makes the backyard look so pretty at night. These are easy to put together and they go into the ground better than lights I have had in the past. The height is great too because they add dimension to the backyard I did not previously have with the shorter lights I purchased last year. The on/off button is inside the cap area and it's easy to use and then put the cap back on the light space. The lightbulb is reminiscent of the old Edison bulbs and I prefer the style and color more than the ones I threw out this year. These are great and I would totally recommend them. ... show more

These solar lights are pretty much as advertised. Small solar cell, LED bulb. Two plastic rods for shafts so that you can pick two eights. The spike is sturdy enough to go into loose soil, but it is plastic so be careful. The body is light duty at best with a few stabilizing rods and a clear plastic shield over the bulb. I am somewhat obsessed with solar lights and probably have the remnants of at least a dozen sets scattered about my yard. These are among the best I've had. There are no street lights on my road. At the end of my driveway are two urns of geraniums and these lights rise elegantly above the geraniums, marking the end of the driveway. Even after just taking these out of the box and installing them at dusk, they lit up and lasted all night long! They are very easy to screw the parts together and give off a yellow-hued glow at night. There is an on-off switch inside under the solarsolar top. These are pretty cheap solar lights but they do put out light at night which is all I required. The one fault I would say is they do not come with a stake. If you have hard ground, you may have difficulty getting them in. They produce a pattern as you can see in the pictures. I can't comment on longevity at night because I'm in bed and I don't see them in the morning because it's daylight when I get up. But but they serve the purpose of marking my driveway for when I get home at night. ... show more
