Use a light steady hand, as these will cut your skin or cause razor burn if you are too hasty. I usually use after washing face or cleaning with a bit of witch hazel. I had never heard of a Dermaplane before until a friend mentioned that she used one. I am extremely fair skinned with sensitive, dry, skin and very little peach fuzz on my face so the thought of using one had never occurred to me. After some research and finding that it can be helpful as an exfoliant to brighten and smooth skin I decided to try these. I have to admit that using it is very simple, thus far, after one use, it has not affected my sensitive skin - always a bonus. My skin does look a bit smoother too. I also used one to removed pills on a favorite thick cotton jacket and it worked like a charm! Additionally I tried using it as a seam ripper (if you are sewer!) and works really well! So I have found these to be very helpful for multiple things! The quality seems quite reasonable and I do like that it has a fold up top - which offers protection both to the blade but also to the user! They are very lightweight which is also a plus. I have been dermaplaning for years! And I always get compliments on my skin! With both bare or a full face of makeup! I am 33 years old and got into makeup, skin care and all things "beauty" around the age of 13. By 20, I became a professional Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist! And in the last 8 years I am also a skincare consultant... I have my own business and have added dermaplaning into my services! I personally love these for personal use... I have normal skin and have had a few issues in the past with pores usually just around my nose but ever since I started using this type of razor, I haven't had pore issues in YEARS!!! I am a big fan of The Flawless Beauty Hair remover products, jade rollers, beauty fridge etc and they are insanely affordable, but they do dull out very easily. I love the feature on the tool that has the light and while I did order refills for that product, I saw the great reviews and decided to try them out. And I am so glad I did! The rqzor is very sharp and I can tell these will last longer than the Flawless ones, I love how the head folds, it takes all the peach fuzz & dead skin off my face, exfoliates my skin and eliminates pores! As I said I have normal skin but if you have sensitive skin like some of my clients, you may experience some redness & "little bumps" after use but if you use a really good moisturizer afterwards, they WILL go away! Alot of woman don't understand how I get such a smooth makeup application & when I tell them these bad boys are the reason, they're in disbelief! I usually will dermaplane for them and then recommend razors/dermaplaning tools to buy and use at home! When you have dry, dead skin, large pores and peach fuzz, it definitely effects how your makeup looks and I wanna recommend these to ANYONE looking to get better, brighter, visibly looking skin, smaller pores and eventually eliminating them all together and in my opinion ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS makeup application! Dry patches of skin and peach fuzz makeup foundation, powders, concealers etc look so cakey on your face and this can change your skin care AND makeup routine like nothing else! U get 9 very affordable razors, I have yet to cut or knick myself and have given 3 away to friends already and they love these too! I may buy more in bulk to add to my skin care/makeup cases because these are amazing!!! So easy to use, great value for your money and sharp, precise blades for a smooth dermaplaning experience! This was my second product to buy. I tried another name brand and this one is better. It's cheaper and the same quality. I like that you can fold the blade down. It's a nice little safety feature. It's sharp so be very careful. You can and will cut yourself if you put too much pressure down. It helps if you wet the face. It takes care of the peach fuzz. As for exfoliating the skin, I'm not a fan of this technique. I don't really see any different in my skin. It doesn't really improve the texture or moisture. My skin is dry and this doesn't help absorb my moisturizer. It does help remove dry/dead skin. Just make sure you go lightly over the skin. It's easy to use and glide over skin. Be careful near pimples or moles. You can seriously cut yourself. My complaint is that it gets dull very fast. You end up replacing after 3 or 4 uses. It's just not as sharp and doesn't go over skin as easily. Risking more cuts and bleeding. Make sure you add moisturizer and sunscreen after. You are removing skin and exposing skin. These are far more affordable than the name brand for the same product. I will only get these after trying them. Good buy. ... show more

I have done this before and I've paid to have this done so when I decided to do it again I bought these. I did my face. I am right handed and did my left side flawlessly. I cut my right side by my ear in a couple places because your hand is twisted , trial and error. Etc. it's the tip that will cut you so pay attention that the blade is always flat. I'm still learning but I was gentle so not to cause major scarring or whatever. I did my daughters face just now and I was perfect. Not one scratch! She has a ton of black hair and peach fuzz and her sideburns always grow way down into her jawline. Got every last hair of her face. Well this little tool just saved me money from waxing every 2 weeks! She's in love. Both of our skin is so soft and so soft LOOKING. Clean and clear. I went all the way down the neck too. I'm 42 and it made my neck look like I'm 26 again. Newbies just be careful and go slow. You'll get the hang of it. Wash your face before hand. I used vitamin E oil to help with a smooth glide and a protective layer so not to damage the skin in case I went too aggressively. Wash again after and use your favorite serum after. It will burn a little so just fan your face and you'll be ok. It will feel tight and may be a bit red and burn a little for a couple hours after. Exactly like a sunburn would feel. You're taking the entire top layer of skin and hair off so please don't forget sunblock if you go outside. You will love the results. Make up goes on flawlessly after !!! ... show more
