  • You will need to update bios for newer processors
The good, this card for the price you get a LOT of features and the lastest too. The card feels very solid and high quality, this is a card for the long run. The bad (not that is a bad thing since it comes with the Q FLASH option) you will need to Q FLASH THE BIOS with newer processors in my case the I5 -13600k it was a pain since you get no visuals prior update, once you install all previous bios updates from the oldest to the newest ( for some reason only doing the lastest Didnt work for me) you see a very friendly bios and tons of customization. ... show more

  • Easy to setup
I did my last PC upgrade about 8 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised by how things changed since then. There are 4 slots for NVMe in this motherboard with heatsinks. There are plenty of SATA ports. I used this board with Intel Core i5-13600KF, Noctua NH-D15S, Kingston Fury Beast Black 64GB 5600MT DDR5, SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD (buy one without heatsink, since the motherboard has heatsinks) There was no need to do BIOS re-flash, everything worked out of the box (although I did BIOS update later to have the latest and greatest). I installed Windows 11 Professional in less than 15 minutes (most time spent learning how to bypass the need to have a Microsoft account for the installation). Pros: 1. CPU cooler power connector is too close to the edge of the board. I had a hard time fitting the connector because it was too close to the tower fan. Most people won't have this issue, but I did. 2. Motherboard Bluetooth failed to be recognized by Windows 11 until I powered off the PC (physical unplug power) and restarted it. This is a known issue for the motherboards of this family. ... show more

  • Dead Memory Slot, Wonky BIOS Update
My first try at a Gigabyte motherboard and I've been pretty disappointed. One of my memory channels is dead, causing a boot loop when used. It took a bunch of troubleshooting to verify it's the channel, not the memory stick, BIOS, or debris. The other three work fine. I'll probably be sticking with the board because swapping out motherboards is a pain and this is functional enough, but still a bummer to have a sad, lonely DDR5 stick in my parts box. Flashing the BIOS is more difficult than it should be. Gigabyte's built-in software didn't work so I had to do it manually with a thumb drive, and after updating it just shut down and took a minute to start booting once I gave it about 10 minutes just in case. I thought it had bricked itself but it seems mostly okay now. Overall a poor experience, but the board seems functional other than the one RAM slot. I won't be going with Gigabyte again. The memory issue alone knocks off two stars, so I'll give it 3 stars because besides the BIOS updater everything else works well enough and the other features (The four M.2 slots, mostly) were big plusses for me. ... show more

  • Great value for such a board
I used this board for my first PC build and it went great, I did have some problems initially to have the BIO post however later on I realized that one of the SATA cable wasn't connected to the 870 EVO SSD, so the board kept getting error 66. This board is for 12th gen core and it worked great with it. Pretty much BIO installation for windows is pretty easy. I just used a windows USB. For BIOs update: it really doesn't matter if you update after installing windows or before, as long as you get a post. It is a guarantee you have your set up running correctly. My biggest problem would be the AIO would be in the way for DDR5 ram A2 slot. But 64 gb ram run great as it ... show more

  • Couldn't get a post (use a 1080p HDMI)
I wouldn't recommend this board for 13th Gen. I flashed the bios and still couldn't get a post with a i5-13600k. However on the second board, a Z790, I did run into a similar issue, but a friend told me to try it with a 1080p HDMI instead of display port, and to let it sit looping for a while. And the system posted right up. ... show more

  • Buenisimo y genial calidad precio
Lo compré a unos 200 dolares (199) y es buenísimo. Te da una calidad de expanción enorme gracias a que es DDR5 y llega hasta gen 1300. Muy bueno, rápido y en general tiene todo lo que necesito y mas. Muy buena compra.

  • Great performance but only if you want to spend a lot of time getting it to work right.
Would not POST out of the box. Continually loop trying to initialize memory. Needed to use the Q-Flash Plus feature to flash the BIOS just to get it to boot up. On the positive side, the Q-Flash Plus feature did actually work. And the diagnostic code readout on the motherboard made it relatively easy, though stressful, to figure out what was going wrong. Other complaints: RGB Fusion is absolutely garbage. Also, this board takes forever to boot from cold. Even worse, it will loop 2-4 times when booting up from AC power loss. Vendor has terrible tech support, you're better off asking on Reddit if you have problems. Neutral: Having to remove the GPU to access the NVME slots is a real pain, but the heatshield on the NVME slots does work well. That said, this board is extremely good value for overclocking and once you do boot up is extremely stable and high-performing. I have not had a single crash inside of a video game or in the OS since getting it all setup properly. My Cinebench scores are nuts and I didn't even have to try very hard. 100% of my errors and frustrations with this board have been during the boot process, never while actually inside the OS. ... show more

  • Great value motherboard with straightforward setup
I was a little worried seeing the reviews for the gigabyte z690 aorus ultra, but made the decision to purchase due to a sale for such a feature rich motherboard. It seems a lot of the issues were due to past bios versions and has now been addressed. I used q flash plus with a USB drive to install the latest bios from gigabytes website and it worked great. Would recommend to any potential buyers. ... show more
