  • This beast is amazing, but mind the power requirements!
It does just about everything, and it does a great job. Key things to note: The motherboard's HDMI port has no integrated graphics to power it, so it's essentially useless. You'll need to plug things into whatever graphics card you purchase. It also needs quite a bit of power -- be sure you check the number of pins available on your power supply to make sure it can power the board's overall AND CPU requirements, plus whatever else you'll be connecting. Finally, the primary SSD connector is weirdly loose. You may want to use some sort of electronic-safe putty to secure the thermal plate, otherwise it jiggles for no real apparent reason. Tech support is typical of hardware manufacturers, which is to say almost nonexistent and requires making an account with Gigabyte to access at all. No surprises there. ... show more

  • Better than the Z390-Prime
Got this Aorus Elite to replace a failed Asus Z390 Prime. The Prime board failed to enter the EFI bios after a while, and I didn’t want to wait on a replacement chip even though I have equipment and qualifications to solder one on. Shouldn’t have happened. This Gigabyte board is not only prettier as far as lighting and customization, but also the EFI bios has always been accessible and it hasn’t failed. The Prime had HDMI and DP for CPU graphics output, but this board only has HDMI (I know probably very few people actually want to run their dual displays on CPU graphics, but that’s what happens when you want to GPU mine). Overall I like this board. A lot. ... show more

  • Works great so far
So i bought this motherboard because my old one was dying, and it also supported an overclocked processor. So far I have had no issues like i had with my previous one. I love the lights on it as well, and it has plenty of room for more fans and what not if i choose to add more. The added m.2 heat shield is awesome as well as its keeping extra heat away. ... show more

  • Meh
It kind of works, haven't hit any major issues with this motherboard, but the overall quality of the product feels very mediocre. This was the first time I bought Gigabyte so not sure if that's entirely expected, I would say that was worse than other motherboards that I had previously. I don't remember the exact details (I switched to another PC some time ago), but I remember that my general impression was "meh". ... show more

  • Great design!
Its a nice motherboard, works well. the BIOS looks clean. There is no Wifi with this board, I would reccomend getting a PCIE Wifi card or a Wifi USB stick I should see no issues with this. Its a great value for the money, if you wanted a comparable board from ASUS it would cost more. My biggest downfall with this product is installing the RGB software. There isnt as much in terms of lighting effects but it matches my ICUE profiles with a little bit of tinkering ... show more

  • purchased New, but got a used one?
i aquired this today, it said new when i purchased it but it came in used, i could see dust in a corner as it had been used, but reluctantly i installed it and sure enough it turned on for a second, glitched at post screen and then suddenly 2 pops, one from my psu and one from either the mb or my RTX 2080ti , I love Gigabyte products but, this time seeing it was NEW, it came in a open box style wraped in bubble wrap and only 2 packages of sata cables, nothing else no hardware or manual, worst i could easily tell it was USED/Refurbished as it wasnt cleaned fully. VERY disapointed now i have to order a new video card and power supply, boards getting refunded. ... show more

  • SUPERB!
not much to say other then its awesome. Bought a pre-built on FB and swapped this board into it, a i59600k, many more fans and RGBs and i love it. the BIOS is simple even for a 1st timer, had to switch the internal graphics so that i could run dual monitors, and it took me about 37 seconds haha. looks great, install was a breeze with some youtube clips. ... show more

  • Value for the Dollar
Bios not nearly as bad one might think, little less useful then old school BIOS's but gets the job done and easy to read 3600 ram identified as 2400, selected the right XMP and boom, 3600. PSU connector for CPU is in a tight place depending on your case so if modular plug that in first. but plenty of USB, night lighting if that your deal and the m.2 heatsink is a winner. ... show more
