My experience was mostly positive. It was easy to install. No issues with CPU or GPU compatibility. The onboard wifi is twice as fast as my old PCI-e Wifi 6 when connected to the same 5Ghz network. Using this motherboard for 2 months, it's been rock solid. The bad: CFosSpeed. It's a "network traffic shaping" driver that's part of the driver suite with Gigabyte Control Center. I was having latency issues and inconsistent download speeds. Took me a while to pin down CFosSpeed as the culprit. After I uninstalled it, my network issues disappeared. Other observations: Only the primary m2 SSD slot has a heat sink and spiffy EZ-Latch attachment mechanism. The other 2 m2 slots are open-air with screw-holes to hold down the drives. Pretty old-school. Also, there are only 2 additional full length PCI-e slots other than the main slot for the GPU. Testing my old wifi card meant plugging a tiny x1 PCIe card into a full length x16 slot. I would have preferred if they provided one more x1 slot.

It was an easy install, no issues with the ram I picked out, booted up fine the first try. Paired it with a 7900X and some g-skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000 CL30 ram. The board has some heft which is a nice sign. A decent amount of USB ports. The quick connect for the wifi antennae is a nice idea, but I prefer to use an external antennae that I can position separately. That said the wifi overall works much better than the last board I was using so its hard to complain. I ignored much of the software that Gigabyte provides for it as others recommended. I do think the non primary m2 slots just sitting there between pci-e slots with no heat sink is kinda outdated, but not really a worry for my particular use. Good budget X870 board overall.

Everything is good so far; the computer is noticeably faster with this board compared to the MSI B650P Wi-Fi. The Wifi 7 built-in card is not the best at keeping a connection, but I'm probably about 50 feet from the router. Everything worked out of the box; I didn't have to do anything special to get it to work.

Honestly good value for price I got it at. Think of it as advertised/named as premium, but it's bottom tier premium. It is priced as midrange and it would definitely be top tier midrange. You're paying for coach and getting business class but it calls itself first class. Does that make sense as a summary? I'd buy again! Durable. Have issues flash updating it but I'm a newbie to building computers. Working without the latest bios update though so getting away with my noobery so far.

so far so good, haven't had any issues that i could attribute to the board itself. One thing i will note that isnt apparent when you buy this motherboard is that if you use all 3 ssd slots the speed of the bottom 2 will be cut in half due to the way the lanes are setup, that being said you are unlikely to notice this, I only noticed it because I reading the manual while traveling. But yeah, great board quality, it has a clean look, the performance is there and I really love the Bios design.

I bought this board with a credit I received from Amazon. I confirmed my RAM and AMD CPU were compatible with this board thru messaging Gigabyte directly before I purchased it. After installing everything and booting it up, the DRAM trouble light came on. Long story short, I was communicating with Gigabyte support trying to t/s this problem. Final step in t/s after all other tries were unsuccessful, was to remove the CPU and check the seat and sure enough it appears that a pin was bent though it was so tiny it was hard to tell even with a magnifying glass, but it did appear that might have been damaged. After I sent pictures of the defect to support, I never heard back from them again! Though initially they tried to help, but I think once it was determined that the board was defective I never heard back from them. Luckily I was still under the 30 day warranty(by 2 days), I decided to call Amazon and complain about Gigabyte lack of service, Amazon immediately accepted my defective board, and are sending me the same board back! Amazon has the best customer service than any company that I have dealt with, with the exception of Home Depot which also has excellent c/s. After going thru the 1 star reviews I see that this has also happened to other customers. With the new board that I receive I will verify that there is no defects on the CPU seat and if I get a DRAM indication trouble light again, I wont need to t/s, I will just sent it back again and possibly Amazon will let me get a different board from a different company. This is a new review regarding the 2nd board from Gigabyte. I was able to download my win10 OS, but it was real quirky and slow! Windows would not load the drivers for the LAN? Also on Gigabytes support page, there are no win10 drivers for the WLAN/BT, just for win11. I ended up trying to reinstall everything all over again for another fresh install of win10 and all other drivers, but now I cannot get past the boards BIOS?? Tried clearing the BIOS but still stuck in BIOS. I have messaged support again for help and now I am just waiting. Will update this after Support contacts me. ALSO: There was another quirky thing that happened similar to my first issue with the DRAM t/s light. When I first powered the board up I kept getting a CPU t/s light. But after about 30 seconds as windows started to load the light finally turned off and stayed off? For a minute there I thought my board was bad again since it took so long for the light to turn off and for windows to load. Just quirky IMHO.
