This is a really great card. I'm coming off of a laptop version RTX 3060 with 6 GB VRAM. This RTX 5080 runs any game I have at Max settings with no problem, including cyberpunk 2077 at full everything including Ray tracing, at 84 FPS and my monitor is 5120 by 1440p. my old 3060 could run cyberpunk with no Ray tracing and half settings, and even with my amazing monitor, I honestly can't tell a huge difference between the clarity from my old card to the new card, but knowing that the card can handle it is amazing. Even though the graphics are only slightly better, there's absolutely no stuttering involved which is a big Plus in my book. it's also silent for most of the day because the fans don't even run until I put the card under real load like a video game. Bought this December 6th 2025 for $999. I don't know if it will ever see this MSRP price again. I've had 3 GPUs so far, and this is by far the nicest card I've had hardware wise. It includes an anti-sag arm that actually integrates into the card's build. Which is a first for me, and I've had another 80 series GPU. It stays well cooled, and is not noisy at all. I run a full Noctua setup and I genuinely cannot hear this GPU when running heavy stuff. ... show more

What can I say?! An RTX 5080 for under $1,000 is an absolute steal. With all the talk about GPU companies shifting production toward AI, this feels like one of those “buy it while you can” moments. I really appreciate the simple, non-RGB design—it looks clean and mature in my build without unnecessary flash. Performance is top notch. Paired with my Ryzen 9800X3D, I’m getting around 200 FPS at 1440p in Warzone, which is just insane. If you can find this card for around $1,000, I highly recommend it. It’s a great card if you can snag it for MSRP. I set an alert on an app to let me know when it was in stock for that price. It still comes in stock at MSRP in late Jan 26, don’t let Reddit lie to you. The card itself is pretty good. Adjusting my case and gpu fan curves I get idle temps at 38°c and was able to overclock to 3280Mhz and +3000Mhz on the VRAM. This is very good for a 5080 chip, though I suspect this to vary based on what silicon you actually get. Is it a beefy Astral? No. Is it $2000? Also no, so take your pick. ... show more

Even though I had to wait two months for this card to ship, I’m glad I snagged it at MSRP ($999). It’s smaller than my 3080 Suprim X yet delivers a big performance jump, it stays quieter while gaming too. So far I’ve been able to run major titles at max settings in 4K at around 120 FPS with ray tracing enabled, using DLSS and frame generation. Also, it came with a 12VHPWR cable, so I didn’t have to buy one separately for the upgrade. Overall, it’s a huge upgrade from my 3080 at MSRP. ... show more
