To start, my overall computer is running a relatively "old" AMD Ryzen 9 3900X with 64GB of 3600mhz DDR4 RAM, and I'm going to contextualize this as: Upgrading from my 2080. In terms of raw performance this is literally twice as powerful, with the same power draw, and half the noise. My personal test of this thing's abilities was to see how many mods I could install in Fallout 4 and keep it stable, and after 877 mods and counting this still runs at a solid 90fps, 1440p, max settings (and I think one of them bolts on some kind of ray-tracing which is just wild.) And while that was MY test, this came with a code for Black Myth Wukong, which I didn't care about before playing, but after playing at Cinematic graphics settings, I can say I've never taken so many screenshots in a game before, all while the game ran at a locked 120fps. That game is truly my aesthetic, and with this GPU it runs and looks like nothing I've ever seen. Installation of a card this beefy can be a bit tricky, but in the end wasn't really a problem; especially since while this thing is larger than my old card, its actually mostly cooling fins (you can see right through the back-half of the card) so its a lighter burden on my motherboard which is always appreciated. Even more appreciated was the fact that it came with mounting brackets that install directly into your existing motherboard standoffs, with all the screws and plastic washers you could want, including 2 sets of standoffs in case yours has different threading. And a final cherry on top: a cable adapter included to convert 2 separate 8-prongs into the 12-prong this card uses. Chef's kiss. So am I pleased? Absolutely. This card has outperformed my wildest expectations, and while it is expensive I don't think I'll be upgrading for years to come (as long as I stay in my 1440p-lane.) The only "complaint" I have is the included video, in that the Gigabyte logo RGBs cycle so fast I think the card might be on drugs. I don't know if this is intentional but since the power draw is stable, the card has never gone over 80% load at any time, and never overheated, so I'm fine with just ignoring it. If your computer is always within your eyeline then this might be annoying for you (especially since Gigabyte says my access is denied to download their software that might fix this for some reason,) but for me I just lose myself in my games and forget about the potential-addict powering all my fps. A 5/5 from me, and unless it burns out I don't see that changing any time soon. ... show more

The beast.

I got this card whit a hefty discount when I signed up for the prime Chase credit card. Plus I got it on a sale so for the price I pick this up at is a beast. It works very well very strong and I’ve had no dripping of thermal paste. I also don’t put my video card vertical. And with the price of a video card right now and prices of memory and everything else that goes along with upgrading. it really now fair to us because I can no longer afford to upgrade and this was a best I can do I was thinking about the 5080 but I can overclock the 5070ti to about a stock 5080 or slightly over. but seriously it’s almost impossible to upgrade and I’m stuck with a rising 5000 CPU which still has life it’s a 5900x paired with this card and 64 gigs of ram that I paid $129. For that’s now cost almost $400. Silly ... show more

Amazing card. Frame Gen is impressive.

It really is a fantastic card dude. On Nvidia's end, it's an amazing card. I can do 75-100 fps at 1440p native, ultra, in most well optimized games. 60 fps with ray tracing in most games I tried, with some graphical tweaks. The Frame Generation is absolutely incredible though. It well exceeded my expectations, which were admittedly low. But, honestly, you seriously can't tell it's a "fake frame" being inserted. It really felt like 180 fps native in any game I tried it. So, really, this card is delivering me 1440p DLSS quality, with ray tracing, utterly maxed out settings at like 125-180 fps in most games. It's amazing playing most games at 100 fps plus now vs my old 2070 Super. On the Gigabyte side. This is my 3rd Gigabyte Gaming OC card. 49 290, then a 2070 Super, then this. Never had a problem. This card's heatsink is absolutely absurd. This truly is an enormous card, make sure it will fit in your case. You also need 3 1/2 slots. It's monstrous. BUT, but... I have never seen this card go above 65C in even the most absurdly intensive games. It usually runs mid 50C - 60C. I do have great case airflow with positive pressure, but I still feel like even a case with poor airflow wouldn't touch 70C at 1440p. 4k may tick it up a bit but honestly, this heatsink and cooler is way overkill. I do like the Gigabyte software for the lighting too. It comes with a GPU stand too (mine did, at least) which is most certainly recommended. I do kind of regret buying it for $1033 when it's now mid $800's, but hey, that's life. ... show more

I put PC's together from scratch in my free time. It's what I love. It's my passion. Prior to this, I had a 3080FTW Ultra, and a 3080 XC3 Ultra AIO. Now I had ALWAYS been frustrated with my PC. I thought I was putting things in incorrectly, not downloading drivers correctly, IDK SOMETHING. Then I got this 5070Ti OC Gaming Windforce. It quite literally solved EVERY problem I was having LOL! No joke. This thing fixed screen tearing, my PC from getting too hot, never been able to be able to play GTA even on low settings. But NOW!? NOW EVERY. SINGLE. THING. WORKS. PERFECTLY. I don't have a single issue. I am playing EVERY GAME on the highest resolutions, ray tracing, EVERYTHING and it doesn't get hot or ANYTHING!! THIS is what I had always THOUGHT my PC should run like but never did. NOW IT DOES!!!!! I could not be happier with my purchase. It was worth every penny, it's the fastest graphics card I've ever seen or used BY FAR. If you have ANYTHING lower than this, then BUY THIS CARD. It will ACTUALLY hold up and do EVERYTHING you have always wanted your PC to do, but just couldn't. I mean, I was having blue screens randomly, just random stuff with everything from the 10 series, 20, 30, I skipped 40 bc I didn't want the same thing to just be depressed at the end of the day- but then I bought the 50 series and now I swear this card is worth it's weight in gold to me. Because all of these expensive, dual 4k monitors, ROG Strix, just top of the line EVERYTHING ALWAYS never held up to what they "could've" done. BUT NOW THEY ALL DO AND WORK LIKE BUTTER!! I Feel like I bought the Nintendo NES for the 1st time when i was in 1st grade. I'm a kid again, saying "LOOK AT THESE GRAPHICS!!" "LOOK AT THIS NOW!!!" I cannot get enough man. Brother bought a 5090 our frame rates are not far off from eachother

I ended up purchasing a 4k ultra wide monitor recently and use it with a 2 monitor setup. Both running 240 hz at all times. When I made the switch I realized my old card ( RTX4070 )couldn’t handle what was basically 3 monitors running 4k 240 hz and my frames dropped significantly. ( -60 fps ) after switching to the 5070 ti I have gained a significant amount of frames. Everything looks better as I can have much higher quality settings in my games. And even games that don’t take advantage of the AI features with the new DLSS - for example Helldivers 2 runs way better at around 120-160 fps depending on the area you are in. The Nvidia software makes it super easy to mess with fan settings if you are into that and has their own way to overclock it automatically based on your computers needs. All graphics cards are expensive right now but this one I would say is worth the money. My brother ended up buying the 5090 and while his frame rates are obviously better it’s not by a crazy amount maybe 30-50 frames difference depending on the game and quality settings. For a fraction of the price of a 5090 you get nearly the performance and that’s a win. Also the thing is huge and heavy. RGB on fans turns off when the fans are at 0 RPM
Plenty of sites have in depth reviews for this card so I would definitely check those to determine if the price/performance is right for you. For me it was nice middle ground between the more budget cards around the $800 msrp (board component quality, generous power limit adjustment) and the "high-end" cards that are in excess of $900 that really don't offer any tangible performance gains (just a more "gamery" look that I am not fond of). Just wanted to mention a couple of things regarding quality of life issues that I've faced so far. The main thing that you should be aware of when buying the Gigabyte OC model is that the RGB lights on the fans (not the gigabyte logo) are only illuminated when the fans are spinning. So if you enjoy the RGB lightshow when not gaming I would avoid this card or set a manual fan curve that disables the zero-rpm mode. This is a bit unfortunate as you shouldn't have to choose between lights and silent operation when not gaming. BTW this is mentioned in the techpowerup review so the card is definitely working as intended and my unit is not faulty. I personally don't care much about RGB so I just disabled the fan lights with RGB Fusion and left the the gigabyte logo light on (which always stays illuminated). Additionally, the lights from the fans shine through the area where the 16pin power connector is which produces a bit of a strobe effect as the fans spin when looking at the back of the card. Kind of annoying to look at if your card is mounted horizontally but probably a non-issue for vertical mounting. In short, if you're an RGB enthusiast I'd look elsewhere. No reason to make quality of life sacrifices regarding the fans with such an expensive card. The sag support bracket is a nice addition and is easy enough to install. For some reason the instructions only tell you to attach one screw to the GPU directly but there are three mounting holes and three corresponding screws included in the package. I just installed all three as the bracket seemed a little loose with just one. On my motherboard (Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite Wifi) the front panel USB-C connector is right next to the top mounting point for the bracket (towards the back of the board). Unfortunately the case connector is a right angle type (o11 dynamic) so the sag support blocks it. Worth taking a look at your board to see if you need an adapter for your front panel connector (to straight instead of right angle) or you might want to consider getting an aftermarket support bracket that doesn't have a clearance issue. ... show more

Edit: The RX 9070 XT now performs 7-9% better than the RTX 5070 ti while easily being $100 cheaper if not more because NVIDIA can’t be asked to make decent drivers! Original: Horrible value for the money, crazy that it costs $969 when Amazon was selling ASUS’s top TUF model for $1099 (just a dual slot card unlike this one from gigabyte). Make it make sense NVIDIA & Amazon! Buy AMD because they at least try to act like they care about gamers. My card did have a little excess of gigabytes thermal gel, but not enough to drip (yet). Also it comes with a 4 year warranty instead of the standard 3. So probably a decent deal for what it is IF you can get it in the $800 range. Now about NVIDIA- this probably the most crashing & instability I’ve seen so far from a NVIDIA GPU. Probably 90% driver issues considering NVIDIA is possessed by the lure of AI & one poor software engineer is left to make functional drivers by made-up deadlines. Absolutely zero reason to support NVIDIA & their behavior especially when they are buying reviews from major publications. NVIDIA has only been giving access to drivers ahead of their launch if you accept their money & testing program to only test very specific games at very specific settings to further support their outrageous marketing claims. Whoever is running NVIDIA marketing has completely ruined any remaining trust individual customers had in them. They only care about their big money enterprise deals, NVIDIA has gone the same route as Apple in terms of corporate authoritarianism. ... show more
