  • this is THE GPU
absolutely massive, high performance, banger of a GPU, make sure its fits in the case you are trying to put it in, im pretty sure its one of the largest 4090s on the market. the screen is very unique and informative, it can display a lot of information and rotate between any of the info you want, i use it to track my temp even though its not really needed because the cooling on the 4090 is so well done. its just a nice piece of mind while gaming. you can even put your own GIF on the screen! ... show more

  • Review is for the product itself and not the vendor
The card is a beast. Most people already know this though. It's BIG in size too. Make sure to measure your case first. It runs exceptionally cool as well. I've OC'd the GPU to 3000 keeping fans at 100% and constant load temps hit around 55c max. That's actually cooler (by a couple degrees) than my 3090Ti on a 360mm radiator under full load! Not going to bash the vendor as it was my choice to buy at the inflated pricing. I figured if I wanted to get it by Christmas this was the only option. It's a shame EVGA is still not in the Nvidia market as they had a pretty good sales system to help keep the scalpers at bay and get the cards into the hands of consumers at MSRP. It's too bad the other manufacturers have not done something similar. Anyway, this so far has been a great card! I really like the looks and performance of it. ... show more

  • ZERO coil whine, fast and runs quiet
It is a bit weird that there really aren't any reviews aside from the one video from der8auer that I found on youtube. So here is my take on it so far. Performance: In terms of FPS all the AIBs for the RTX 4090 are pretty similar. Maybe 3-5% higher than the founders in FPS based on their specific OC's...so suffice to say, this card performs no less. I get 80-90 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 with Overdrive Ray Tracing and DLSS on. Temp: While under load or while playing games like Cyberpunk, I am seeing max temps in the low 60Cs and average around 55C. Hotspot and memory temps stayed cool around the mid to high 60s. Noise: First thing, my Aorus Master has ZERO coil whine. I understand coil whine may be tied to what motherboard, PSU and GPU combo you have. I have a Crosshair viii dark hero (mobo), TUF 1000W ATX 3.0 (PSU) if that helps anyone making the decision. To set the context...I have owned and returned both the 4090 FE and 4090 ROG Strix, because both had way too much coil whine. It was so bad that even on load screens for Hogwarts or Cyberpunk it would sound like techno music coming out of my case. The whine is a hard to describe noise...but it IS unpleasant and in my case it changed in pitch and tone based on the power draw and load on the GPU. So you'd hear techno during the load screen then it'd turn into a constant whine in game. To be fair, most people play with headphones (including myself) or could just change their fan curve and drown it out (at this point your rig is no longer quiet). Also it bears mentioning the whine on both the FE/Strix didn't get less over time, you just stop noticing it because you just get used to it. Personally at this price point, that amount of coil whine is unacceptable. Back to the Aorus Master, I didn't change any fan curves and left it on the performance BIOS setting and the fan noise is barely noticeable to me. I'll take fans ramping up and down over techno music any day. I imagine you could probably tweak the curve if you wanted to lower the fan speeds to make them more consistent and quieter but I don't care enough to go that far. Software: I have not had any issues with the software that controls the RGB or screen on the AORUS. I use Fan Control to control my case/cpu fans, Signalrgb for RGB on the Mobo/Ram and have left the fan curve to the performance BIOS with no issues with conflicts at all. Look (totally subjective): I think the asymmetrical look horizontally is not my cup of tea. This GPU looks a lot cooler while mounted vertically but then you can't see the screen anymore, so the tradeoff is up to you. I also don't think the LED implementation on this looks as good as the Strix or as sleek as the Founders Edition. Conclusion: All in all I think this gives the best performance/cooling while still remaining quiet. You can decide for yourself what matters the most to you. And make sure this fits in the mounting configuration you are planning for. It is both long and THICC. Happy GPU shopping; at least you can buy GPUs at ridiculous MSRP prices now as stocks are improving... ... show more

  • Solid Card
I have had this card for about a month and have been watching its metrics. I am an avid gamer and have been playing games like Star Citizen and Dark Crusade. Both games run very smoothly and look amazing. I am running on a G9 at 4k res. I know it isn't a cheap card but been worth the money in my opinion. ... show more

  • It's everything it was promised to be
The media could not be loaded. It's everything I thought it would be... GTA V on ultra settings on a 49" wide 1440p HDR monitor with v-sync on... It looks so good, and it runs so smooth. No jitters. No screen tearing... Same thing with Cyberpunk 2077 on Psycho settings with v-sync tuned on. It looks so good and runs so smooth. Going from a 2070 Super to this is... There's no comparison. ... show more

  • nice
The card is big and heavy so make sure you have the proper support to prevent it from bending and breaking, in my case I had to mount it in ROG Hyperion GR70, performance is the same as any other 4090

  • Good gpu for the prosumer
This is a good gpu but the price is too high for most gamers to think of buying. The cooling is excellant on this as it never broke 75 degrees c when mining crypto or gaming at 8k but it does have an overbuilt cooler that takes up 4 slots so ITX builders may want to look elsewhere for a smaller more manageable 4090 for a 2000d case as only the cooler master 100 can fit this big brick of a gpu. So why not 5 stars? It's capped at 450-watts of power input. For as big of a cooler on this gpu gigabyte should have made a bios update or made this gpu capable of doing 600-watts to compete with the asus rog strix 4090 here as most overclockers and gamers see this decision as an unessessary knee capping of the aorus 4090 vs the strix 4090 in terms of perfromance in games and in, crypto mining here as the gpu does have a BIOS switch on it to use in case of people seeing that much power being used as a risk due to the 4090 power cables melting or it becoming a small room heat radator as it can put out some heat. Under max fan speeds the card it still quiet enough to game on for me and if anyone wants better cooling for this gpu take off the side panel on your case as the heat exhaust from this gpu comes out of the side here after putting my hand closes to it to see where the airflow was going in this card. ... show more

  • Coolest (literally) Card Around
Awesome card! Playing MW2 maxed out at 4k and I haven't seen a GPU temp reach 60C yet. The cooler on this thing is way overbuilt, it is doing better than some liquid AIB cards! Highly recommended!
