I bought this GPU nearly a year ago, and other than having the cables for the liquid cooler being a bit stiff for me to move, I have not had any issues or random restarts. I've got a full-tower phanteks case, so positioning/size of cooler, doesn't really apply to me. GPU itself, stays cool with default settings, I have had zero issues with the power connector that came with the Corsair 1000w PSU, I am also using 2 cable mod cables with 1 normal PSU cable, not ideal, I know, but cable mod is expensive and the "complete" pack I bought, did not include the connector needed. They are all the correct Type-4 cable, for you "professionals" out there, relax lol. Minor issue, is one of the fans has a constant rattle, and I cannot control the RGB if the Gigabyte control center isn't running in the background. 3 zones as well for RGB, backplate for the "AORUS" name, and on the left side, AORUS, and the 3 fans can't be individually controlled for RGB, I haven't tried OpenRGB either. Overall, worth the price, which was around $1,200 at the time of buying. At time of this review, the 4080 Super is out and this is likely "discontinued" or "not available" which is a shame. They're the same card, one is a tiny bit faster at a cheaper price. ... show more

I bought this to play Flight Simulator 2020 with an 8K VR headset (Pimax 8Kx). It overclocked easily to 3GHz and has never exceeded 51C so the liquid cooling is definitely a plus. I read other reports of the fan based models operating at 60+C with associated noise. This has been whisper quiet. Although this is $200 more than the Windforce, this Waterforce was worth the price difference. Had I gone with a manual water cooling solution, the water block would add another $129 plus pipes, tank, etc. and it would easily exceed the price difference. I also considered the 4090 Waterforce but an additional $1000 (50% more expensive) for 25-30% performance gain didn't seem worth it. Now that I've tested it I think the 4080 OC is the sweet spot on price/performance. For FS2020 and Pimax fans- Using Wide FOV, clouds on Ultra, and many other settings on High/Ultra. i9-13900K (also liquid cooled) probably helps but this is a major improvement over my previous RTX 3090 model and the game is finally playable in VR at high resolutions. The fans come pre-installed on the radiator but they can be moved to the opposite side if needed (which was required in my setup- pictured on left. Be warned- even though the graphics card is shorter, the radiator is full size and you need a large case to hold it all. In my case the Thermaltake case did the job. Zalman CPU radiator and block are pictured right and turned out to be a perfect pairing for the Aorus RTX 4080 Waterforce. ... show more
