When the dishes arrived, they were well packaged and none of them were broken. Unfortunately some of the dishes had imperfections including a sharp piece attached to the finish of a bowl and slight uneveness. I requested an exchange. The second set also arrived without any shipping damage, this set had fewer imperfections. My husband and I have used these dishes for over two years now. They have been both hand washed and gone into the dishwasher. The plates now have a more pronounced uneven, wavy appearance. The set is still functional, it just has more character. I like the various sizes of the plates and bowls. The set is microwavable and the simple white matches everything nicely. The set has a good weight, not overly heavy or light. Color, weight and pattern are great and as expected. Did fine in the microwave. Packing was fantastic - not a single chip, crack or break (all pieces are in one box so VERY heavy). All the pieces looked fine out of the box but after I washed them several times in the dishwasher, I noted that several of the dinner and salad plates are warped (bowls are fine). I’m disappointed, and beyond the return window, as I didn’t think this would be an issue with Gibson. I won’t use them with guests but if I needed a set to serve a family with young kids, these are hands down a solid value (let them break the warped plates first?). ... show more
