I have not had these long enough to judge the durability of the shiny surface, but they are sturdy and very light. The color and design are true to the photo. I do wish that individual items were available (for instance, I use way more bowls and small plates than I do large plates.)

Love these dishes. A little thinner/flimsy than I hoped. But. they're really pretty and what I wanted. I returned it and ordered another set. We'll see. Might not do well with kids. Not microwave safe.

I’ve bought these dishes for our camper. The colored paint on the dishes is thin and does not provide that great of coverage. The colors are beautiful on the dishes, but I feel like it could’ve been put on sicker to help provide a better look to the dishes. The durability of them seems OK and they are lightweight yet they have that feel of being “cheap”. These dishes are good for outdoor or camping usage, but I would not use them in my home at the dining room table. ... show more

We love these Gibson Studio Dishes they are a beautiful addition to our Sailboat compared to dishes we found at boating retailers or perhaps anywhere with their rustic look. They are as strong as they are beautiful, clean up easily and store away perfectly. The price was amazing... if I could get another set sent to Antigua I would buy another set... DO NOT BUY THIS DINNERWARE SET. It's absolute garbage. You can't put it in the microwave with is already inconvenient...but it does say too rack dishwasher safe. After fitting all of it into the top rack and washing it one time BEFORE EVEN USING THEM they started to chip and crack. If you want to buy a pile of garbage for $30 go for it but I highly advise against it. I'm glad I caught this issue before using them and possibly causing my child to ingest whatever trash these are made from. ... show more
