Looking for ceramic dishes is hard! So many brands and styles... I was into these large pasta bowls* and I choose gray* they are nice exactly as pictured. I see this trend in plates with the edge up which I didn't like. I also see ceramic sets with wonky or not shaped perfectly circular (which as someone who's played on a potter wheel) isn't what I wanted. This set is perfectly shaped. The gray is a bit different* which I think is why I choose it...if I CLD go back, I might* consider the boring old earthy brown color. I did think the sets* w/color variations* were cute. So it's personal. These came packed well and in perfect condition. They are heavy as well as pretty and the gray is unique, in my opinion. No issue in dishwasher. ... show more

The first order l loved! Durable, earthy, fun, totally loved the salad bowls, so l ordered more of the same so l could have place settings for 8, not just 4. The 2nd order was the wrong color, had no salad bowls, but mugs instead, and one of the dinner plates was chipped. But keep in mind both of my orders were "used like new" so l don't know if that was part of the problem. ... show more
