I had been eyeballing these dishes for years. They went on sale on prime day so I snagged them up. They are beautiful and exactly what I wanted for my black & white, red accented kitchen. I didn’t buy for a long time because people said they were heavy. I don’t find them to be heavy compared to my last dishes. They are actually lighter. My only compliant would be the bowls and how they nest together. They are bulky in height. 4 stacked together is aprox 7.5 in. high X 7 in. wide. Whereas the plates nest at a low profile of 2 to 3 in. high. The mugs also don’t stack well. 2 mugs stacked is also aprox 7.5 in. high. I would suggest hanging them or buying mug stackers on Amazon to save space. My other suggestion is to buy an extra box when purchasing, so you can insure there are no imperfections or stress cracks on the dishes you decide to keep. Return what isn’t needed. I originally bought two boxes and one mug had a stress crack and I didn’t want to keep it. I called Gibson for a replacement mug and was told it would be around $7 to replace it + shipping. Uh no! So I returned the whole box for a replacement box, Amazon of course was amazing and shipped the replacement box within 2 days. Super fast! So just order an extra box and pick and chose the best dishes. Obviously let them know if you are returning defective or broken dishes so they don’t try to resell. I has asked about these dishes leaving finger prints, and someone answered no. But I can see finger prints on the black outside, but they are easily washed or wiped away. Nothing too annoying. Now I need to find some black silverware with good reviews and my look will be complete. ... show more

I bought these for the size specifically. They hold my 2 cups of coffee, sugar and creamer. They do not get hot to hold when there is coffee in them. They microwave and dishwash well. The only issue I had is one came with a minor defect (see picture). When I went to attempt to replace the mug I was prompted to return all 4 mugs. I'm not returning the other three mugs that are perfectly fine to attempt to get a new set with no defects. I continued to use them. All the mugs after more than a year of use have survived and the defect does not seem to have effected the mug in any way ... show more

the mugs, were not as big as I was expecting them to be. they are WIDE not TALL. but otherwise they are a great purchase. the entire set that I bought was very nice, no chips in anything! perfect set if this matches your aesthetic.

Nice set. But 2 items were already chipped in the box. Didn’t find any chips in the box so they were packed in the box this way. After contacting Gibson, they don’t warranty but will replace at my expense.

He’s a very nice stylish plates for when you have company over for dinner or for light every day use. It should be noted however that they are heavy and so may not be optimal for the elderly or physically impaired. That’s my one complaint everything else is great and they look really nice.

I bought the light gray dinnerware set and it was delivered in one piece. No broken pieces, package was wrapped well. I love the weight of the plates because it lets me know they were made with good quality. I can't wait to use them.
