Gorgeous! I’m so happy with this set. I bought two and I love them. I actually enjoy emptying the dishwasher now. They’re beautiful! My entire family has commented on how much they like them. We love the size of the bowls. The small ones are perfect for ice cream or cereal without being too big and larger bowls are more like a dinner bowl or for an entrée salad or pasta. We love everything about these dishes.

These are beautiful dishes and every time I have a meal they’re so pleasing to look at. They feel great too, and are holding up perfectly in the dishwasher so far. I ordered the blue set of these Gibson Elite Mayfair Bay dinnerware set because of the beautiful color depicted in the on-line photos (ie. a lovely aqua blue. But, as many of the other reviewers warned, they are NOT that color. They aren't even close to an aqua, teal or turquoise shade. They are a darker shade. More of a pretty lake blue. That said, they arrived on time, were very well packaged and appeared to be of excellent quality. So, although I had to send them back due to the color being so off from what I needed. I would recommend these for anyone simply wanting a beautiful blue dinnerware set vs. seeking the specific depicted in the photos. Also, In don't plan to include a photo with this review because, as we have determined, photos can be very misleading.

The worst move of my life resulted in many broken items, including some of my cheap white dinnerware. I decided to replace what was left with a new set, and I loved the colors in this one. They have exceeded my expectations; they're lovely to look at, heavy enough to be sturdy but not hard to handle. I loved the overall look of these dishes. I ordered 2 sets of these dishes. Both boxes have dishes that have several spots that the glaze looks like it had a bubble that popped and has the white stoneware shoeing through. The small plates seem to all be fine.. The large plates have the largest size and most number of unglazed spots. The spots on the bowls are not as noticeable as the plates . The larger bowls have more as well as larger spots. I contacted the manufactory and asked if this would make the dishes prone to chip or explode in the microwave if moisture soaked into the spots. Here is the response. Thank you for your feedback we will make our team is aware of this. As for the chipping there can be many factors to why the dishes can chip For example, uneven heating caused by certain foods like a potato, bacon, or frozen foods. Invisible hairline cracks that may develop while washing, storing, etc. and when exposed to heat it results in cracking or chipping. If you do not feel safe with using them please reach out to the original place of purchase for an exchange. It did not address my question, but seemed to be a copy and paste about chipping in general. I replied that this was not chipped but imperfections in the glaze, The response Thank you for letting us know. As mentioned before our warehouse can only do a courtesy replacement for 3 dishes. If you have more than 3 please reach out to Amazon for an exchange or refund. She said nothing about a courtesy replacement for 3 and I didn't get the impression that they were really concerned about the quality control . I have thought about returning them for an exchange , but the boxes are heavy . I don't want to go to the trouble of boxing them up and driving all the ay to the UPS store, only to receive dishes with the same defects.( As both boxes had dishes with these defects.) The pictures are only a few of the ones with flaws. There are several more. I looked for several hours before I bought these dishes and really love the way they look except for the flawed ones. I will use the ones in best condition for everyday and hope they don't chip from the edges of white spots being hit by knives or crack from being in the microwave. Hopefully they will address this issue at the manufactory.

These dishes are absolutely beautiful. The size of the pieces and the color are perfect. I was pleasantly surprised at how substantial they were as well. I ordered a 4 piece place setting just to see if I would like them. The minute I saw the small plate, I immediately sat down and ordered another 4 piece place setting. It really is gorgeous dinnerware. I also want to point out that this was the BEST packaging I have ever seen. I have ordered a bunch of stuff over the years and it has been hit or miss insofar as the packaging is concerned. This company does it right. Each setting - salad bowls, pasta bowls, dinner plate, side plate - were packaged in their own box, with cardboard spacers protecting each piece from the next. Those four boxes were then packaged together with cardboard spacers separating each box from the other. That box was then placed in a second box. And this isn’t your typically flimsy cardboard, these are thick, substantial boxes. Given the way they were packaged. I am fairly certain they could have survived anything. Great product, great company. I wholeheartedly endorse this product!
