Gorgeous set, and they seem sturdy enough. I bought two sets because they look so good in the pictures! I fell in love, even though they were on the pricier side of others I was looking at. I decided to go for it, I deserve pretty plates! I was not disappointed. As I was washing them, I felt something on one of the bowls and sure enough, possibly durng shipping, a crack on the outside of the bowl :(. I was sad. It was tough to get a good picture of the crack I found on one of the bowls new out of the box, but I got it. I let them know about it as soon as I noticed, they sent me a new set!
