After reading through the reviews, especially the ones where people were honest about their grand/kids jumping up in the bed and holding up well I decided to give this bed a chance. My husband set it up by himself last night really quickly and it feels sturdy, no wobbling or creaking. I wasn't sure about the number of slats to support the mattress but there are enough to support the foam mattress we purchased. I had to lay in bed next to my son after he rolled out if it numerous times last night but even with me getting off and on the bed as a full grown adult (and heavily pregnant) there was no creaking or movement of the bedframe. I git the dark espresso color and it's not a stained wood but it does look like, the "grain" looks pretty good and it fits in front of my son's window low enough that it doesn't interfere with the ability to draw and close the curtains. With all of the cheaply made beds you can find I would say that this is a cheap price but not cheap quality. It isn't top notch by any means but I would argue that this is well worth the price they have listed for the bed!

Super easy to put together. Only issue we’ve had is having to add a few sturdy wood pieces to the frame. My kids like to jump in the bed so we expected we would have to add them in eventually.
