After reading through the reviews, especially the ones where people were honest about their grand/kids jumping up in the bed and holding up well I decided to give this bed a chance. My husband set it up by himself last night really quickly and it feels sturdy, no wobbling or creaking. I wasn't sure about the number of slats to support the mattress but there are enough to support the foam mattress we purchased. I had to lay in bed next to my son after he rolled out if it numerous times last night but even with me getting off and on the bed as a full grown adult (and heavily pregnant) there was no creaking or movement of the bedframe. I git the dark espresso color and it's not a stained wood but it does look like, the "grain" looks pretty good and it fits in front of my son's window low enough that it doesn't interfere with the ability to draw and close the curtains. With all of the cheaply made beds you can find I would say that this is a cheap price but not cheap quality. It isn't top notch by any means but I would argue that this is well worth the price they have listed for the bed!

I bought this bed for my son. Overall I am really pleased with this bed frame. Relatively easy assembly. My son is a very active 5 year old and this bed has held up against his jumping. I’m also able to lay on it with him and feel that it is very sturdy. Well worth it for the cost!

No parts damaged or missing. Looked just like the picture. Assembly was straight forward and easy. The only negative was that the mattress support slats were cut a little short. You cannot simply lay them across the sideboards, they’ll shift and fall through. I set them all carefully and screwed them down. My son loves his “big boy bed” and the height is just right for him. I put a Nectar twin mattress on it and it’s awesome. He’s jumped all over the thing and nothing has come loose or developed any creaks.

Perfect for what we needed. Mild-Easy to assemble. I had to have my boyfriend help me cause I had the wood facing the wrong way several times; along with forgetting to place and lock the pegs in FIRST before screwing everything in. People's previous reviews stated a smell; I only smelled it when I smelled closely against the wood. There was several minor dings, and noticed part of a wood was cracked and repaired (as long as it came to me repaired and holding together, I'm good); but it was on the bottom where the mattress would be covering it. Everything is holding steady for my 4 year old - this is his first big boy bed. Altho there was that crack, it is repaired and minor assembling confusion, I like this bed for my son. :) Thank you!
