I bought it for my 10 year old son. He loves it so that's mainly what matters. The bed is very sturdy and easy to assemble (IF you have help, definitely not a solo job). I did use a box spring because I think it looks better higher up and I feel like the slacks would eventually tear down the mattress. Over all it's a decent bed. I was a bit upset when I found the same exact bed for a cheaper price right after buying it, but I'm not disappointed in the purchase.
