This was a highly recommended pillow based on my preferences for a firm, taller pillow that might provide some type of cooling. It is not as firm as I was expecting or as they advertise. It's actually quite soft, but because the pillow is pretty thick it seems to make up for the lack of firmness - for me anyway. Cooling? Not really. The pillow has some holes in it that could move air, but as soon as you put a cover or pillowcase on it that effect is negated- so what's the point? Even so, I needed a new pillow and this seemed to be okay... so after using it for a month I do like it. I think it will hold up quite a while, but if you're looking for a super firm, miracle cooling type pillow this one is way over-hyped and falsely marketed. Don't get it for that. ... show more

The smell is very rough for the first few weeks, but then eventually goes away. I do like this pillow a lot. Only weird thing is there is no pillowcase because of the cooling technology.

I have probably purchased 6 - 8 different pillows and none have been as satisfactory as this one. Great support, and I love the memory foam. It does keep me cooler at night. You can believe everything posted on the Amazon site about this pillow. It was my best Amazon Prime purchase this year!

I have another highly rated memory foam pillow. It sleeps hot and I needed something else. I like this ghost pillow. It feels cool and is less hot. No pillow is going to be cool all the time unless it has an ice pack in it. But this has not made me sweat yet. I like that it came ready to use and I did not have to wait days for it to fluff itself up. It does not compact. When I lift my head, it bounces back. This is good. Company was quick to respond to my initial concerns about the stanky mothbally chemical odor. For that, I gave ‘em the benefit of the doubt. After airing out on my patio for a month, the smell is gone - poof! I suppose anything plásticy and synthetic is gonna have a smell like this at first.
