I’ve never been one to use a flat iron so I’ve opted for keratin treatments 2-3 times a year. But I still needed something for smoothing frizzy neckline hair or straightening out wrinkles. I picked the GHD Glide because it leaves a shine on the hair and it doesn’t make your hair completely flat and shapeless. This is easy to control and the fact that it has only one temperature means I can’t over do it and fry my hair. Needless to say, I am loving this tool. I think I will even be able to use less keratin treatments in the future. For reference I have thick coarse hair. It’s not wavy or curly in the pretty way, it’s more frizzy and unruly. Faster than a flat iron with better results

It took me a couple of tries to really master this but I much prefer it to a flat iron. It is pricey but I really like it. It has "bristles" that heat (and some that don't) so that you don't have to press your hair flat to apply heat and shaping. My hair comes out smooth but not flat. It has movement and body. Oh, the time this gorgeous gadget saves me! Wish I had bought it years ago. I used to spend an eternity carefully blow drying my long, thick, frizzy, curly-ish hair. I dreaded washing it because it took so long standing there, even with a good $ blow dryer. Now, I can let my hair dry however I want—favorite is with the Jeep open and the wind blowing through it. Then, when it’s all frizzed out and mostly dry, I brush out the tangles with a regular detangling brush and run this heated brush through and my hair looks amazing! When it’s hot and humid (Florida, ugh!), I put some anti-frizz serum in my damp hair for extra staying power. Even the cheap stuff in the greenish pump bottle leaves my hair “sleek and shiny” until I wash it again. I read someone complain that there is just one heat setting and it does not get as hot as some brushes. I honestly can’t imagine wanting it hotter for fear I would seriously damage my hair. Impressive!

I normally go to a salon for a relaxer, but due to the pandemic, I had to find an alternative. For years I had used a straightening comb, but just couldn’t get over my fear of burning myself (instilled by my mother, who always nicked me with hot tools in my youth). I have to admit I was skeptical about how good straightening brush could be but after researching online articles and reviews, I decided to buy this GHD. WOW!!! The results are better than I expected! My kinky hair is almost completely straight; much better than the results I got with my old straightening comb because I can get the brush on my roots! No burned scalp, fingers or ears! There are less expensive brushes out there but I believe you get what you pay for. This is a very well-made product. Will this replace the salon? No. Will this replace my straightening comb? Absolutely! All you curly girls, if you’re in the same boat as me, I highly recommend this comb for easy straightening at home. ... show more

Amazing!

I am in love with this brush!! I’ve always used a flat iron to straighten my hair but have grown tired of spending almost an hour on it (I have thick, curly, coarse hair and if I don’t do anything with it, it becomes a big frizzy mess). So I looked into these brushes and this one had the best reviews. After using it, I can see why! I have now cut down my hair straightening time to only 10 MINUTES!! I didn’t think it would work this well. Beeps then turns off - within 6 months.

This is my second one - and I love the results from the brush HOWEVER, it’s my second one because both lost power in less than a year of owning each. Both would beep intermittently and turn off. They will only stay on if you lay them flat and don’t move the cord - which renders the brush useless. I have been using this hot brush for several months. I have very long, thick, frizzy/wavy hair and also have a GHD flat iron. I have been disappointed with this item. The design is poor: the handle is heavy and hard to grip, and the on/off button is right where you need to put your fingers to maintain grip. This annoys me every time I use it. It noticeably tames hair, though, but it takes longer than a flat iron and does not do as good of a job. You must brush each section of hair with a regular brush before you run the hot brush through it; otherwise, your hair will get caught and overheat. ... show more
