Just want to clarify some things I read in the reviews. I purchased this from Amazon.com as the seller, not a 3rd party seller for just over $100, almost $100 cheaper than Sephora and Ulta. The hair dryer was 100% authentic with a hologram code, and I was able to register it without problem on the GHD website in case anything happens and it breaks within the 12 month warranty. Amazon only has a 30 day return policy, so be sure you register your hair dryer. I bought this to replace a different brand hair dryer that broke and I had not registered it. The other company could not do anything for me since I did not have proof of purchase anymore. This hair dryer is awesome. It’s sleek and dries my hair fast, and I love the cold shot button that helps set my blow out. Solid product that I hope will last for several years. ... show more

I have been meaning to review this for a while since I hasn’t been able to use it since August. I bought this in May, 2018 as my hair was so damaged (okay, so I colored it 3 times in one week) BUT it always looked so much better when my hairdresser dried it with her super duper dryer. As I already used the same hair products, I decided to invest in an expensive dryer too. This dryer WAS a little quieter and dried my hair a tad faster.. for about 3 months. Sitting on a vanity bench to dry my hair, I laid the dryer in my lap to reach for something and it slid onto the floor. It fell onto a rug only about 24” from the floor and broke! It would turn on, but made a horrible high pitched sound and spit out one piece of plastic, then several melted pieces(see photo). Now it just smells like it’s burning, so it’s gone forever. Can’t even use the warranty as it was dropped. I was able to register the dryer without problem on their website too. I can’t imagine this being used by a professional and being accidentally dropped from a standing height! It’s back to my Conair Infiniti Pro which has an a/c motor, has lasted forever, taken a beating, still works well AND cost around $30! So disappointed with THIS purchase! ... show more

I picked the option where it was "sold and shipped by Amazon.com LLC". I had ordered it for my wife and I received this just a few minutes back. She tried registering it on the ghd website. The "Date code" and "Hologram code" are required for registration (required for manufacturer warranty) and this did not have the Hologram at all - the spot where the hologram goes was empty. Also, the sticker on the dryer says "data code" instead of "Date code". My wife has other GHD products which have a "Date code" (not data code) and a hologram sticker with hologram code. ... show more

Update: I purchased the Airwrap and comparing with the GHD I far prefer this hairdryer. I’ve been eyeing the new Airwrap but it’s insanely expensive and out of stock. My old cheap hairdryer stopped working and I needed a new one ASAP. I’ve had the GHD hair straighteners since they came out in 2001. They last forever and do a great job. My hair is naturally very frizzy and takes a good hour to blow dry by which time my arms are aching and I’ve long given up any notion of actually styling These have taken my drying time down to 8 minutes including doing actual flips and waves and something resembling an actual hair style. I think this Air Hair Dryer is one of the best purchases I've ever made. This has cut down my blow drying time in half. I have incredibly thick, coarse, hair that absorbs water like a sponge. So with my old hair dryer, it used to take up to a half hour to dry my hair, and only up to 50% of it. Now, I barely spend 15 minutes and most of my hair is dry. The even distribution of heat is fantastic, as well as the 3 heat settings, and the cool air option. ... show more

I love this hair dryer. As the first expensive hair dryer I've purchased, I realize you don't need extremely high heat to dry your hair. I live and work in 2 different states and I have a cheap hair dryer at one location. Because of this, it's very easy to notice that my hair is softer, shinier and more manageable when I use this one since it's such a stark difference that happens over and over again when I return from the cheap hair dryer location. So, previously I've owned drugstore hairdryers and had no idea the difference it would make to have a nice dryer. Why didn't someone tell me sooner?! The nozzles are awesome for concentrated heat and the dryer is much quieter than my drugstore models. The airflow is much stronger as well, which = faster blow dry. Yay! ... show more

Nice and quiet compared to my last hair dryer. I really like the soft band that keeps it from sliding on the counter or making a clunk when you set it down. The only thing I don't like about it is the way the diffusers snap on (very difficult to remove them) and the fact that the "cool" button doesn't seem to completely shut off the heating element. ... show more
