  • Installed on 2004 Toyota Tundra
Toyota front brake pads - installed on my 2004 Toyota Tundra SR5 Double Cab. Perfect fit, recommend you get the ceramic brake grease to place in the correct spots. Does not come with shims or grease. I re-used the original shims from the truck. Works great so far, no squeaks or grabbing.

  • Perfect choice
Definately OEM. Straight forward install. Just like almost every other disk brake I've changed on all my chevrolets over the years. This is on the rear of a 2011 FJ. Not as easy as the front but not hard to change either. I needed a caliper press tool but other than that my metric wrench set did the job. A little over an hour in the drive way with limited tools. The front takes less than an hour though. ... show more

  • Frozen caliper pins make install harder ....
Box indicates these are for a Land Cruiser (EU Lux market) but they are also FJ Cruiser pads. Quality and long life! I'm half way through the install which SHOULD take 5 minutes but the caliper pins were frozen. So after hitting with Blaster and pounding it through with hammer and set it did move but not out. So I cut parts of it out with my Dremel. Then I pounded the rest out. Strongly recommend getting a new set of clips and caliper pins (got the brass pins which should not corrode). Then next time it will take 5 minutes. ... show more

  • 2003 4x4 Tundra
Yup...these fit my truck. They were noticeably cheaper here than through my local dealer. As many others have pointed out, they don't come with shims or any hardware. You will need brake grease. BTW, when ordering OEM Toyota parts from Amazon, I make sure the order is being fulfilled by an actual Toyota dealer (I Google the name of the dealer, to make sure they exist, and fit the description on Amazon). Sometimes, this means scrolling down to find an alternative seller. I will not buy Toyota parts directly from Amazon or non-dealer outlets...I think that is how you get fakes. ... show more

  • Back to OEM braking
Removed the original OEM pads and rotors off my 2008 4Runner about 80K miles ago (when it reached 100K) and replaced with some well reviwed aftermarket pads and rotors. During the 80K miles on the aftermarket parts, I went through another set of rotors and pads before coming back to OEM. Since then, my braking improved and an unexplainable wheel shake (without the brakes applied) disappeared. Although my originals were worn after 100K miles, I didn't have any of the rotor warping I experienced with the aftermarket parts. In the long run, the OEM rotors/pads are well worth the money. One word of caution however, watch for caliper piston sieze while replacing these pads. Somewhat common condition for 4Runner calipers. Chances are, you won't even be able to get the pad into the caliper if it's siezed. ... show more

  • The REAL DEAL. FACTORY YOTA PADS
These are factory Toyota brake pads. They were in a Toyota dealers stock in Alabama at one time as the computer print out sticker they use for tracking the part and what isle and bin it is in. I do not know how much they cost from yota but I have never bought them once in my last four tundras because I think they were well over $100. The Toyota box they came in was trashed but who cares. I was/am? A certified mechanic years ago so I know what is what. Great factory breaking again. If you buy those lifetime pads at the local auto parts store you are a fool. They have that warrant because the pads are literally harder than your disc and your disc wear out and warp and your breaking suck unless you drag your breaks to heat them up or put a torch on them before you drive. Lol that was a joke. But yes buy these pads I will take pictures of box and post it ... show more

  • Better safe than sorry!
About two years ago I replaced my front brake pads with a heavy duty brake pad, thinking it would give me extra stopping power. What I came to find out was that the HD pads didn't help me stop any sooner at all. The brake pad material was so hard that it wasn't creating enough friction to help mle stop. I verified this by taking temperature readings and found that my rear brakes were much hotter than the front. Heavy Duty means they will last forever. Thats great if you don't want to stop your vehicle. After putting the OEM original brake pads back on my 4Runner I was amazed at the vast improvement. Don't learn the hard way, spend the extra money and put on the Toyota original pads. I would be money ahead if I would have just spent the extra money up front. ... show more
