For 1.75mm size filament only. The Bondtech BMG utilizes an internal gearing ratio of 3:1 together with precision cnc-machined hardened steel drive gears to give you a compact powerhouse for all your applications. Whether you require high resolution prints with small nozzles or high-flow prints with big nozzles the optimized gearing ratio combined with our industry leading drive gears provides unparalleled pushing power and lightning fast retractions in a lightweight and compact package. Bondtech users the world over will attest that even in prints with thousands of retracts the extruders perform flawlessly. The BMG extruder feeds all material with reliability, from slippery nylons and soft TPU/TPE filaments to carbon- filled high-strength materials. The extruder is designed for 1.75mm filaments, but has been tested to ensure performance of filament from 1.5mm up to 2.0mm allowing for high reliability regardless of the tolerance. The thumbscrew tensioner allows the user to fine-tune the pressure exerted by the drive gears onto the filament. We have designed a standard mounting bracket, both in CNC and as a 3D printable part that you can download from our stl-archive for free. Our standard mount is CNC-machined in 3 mm aluminum for maximum stability. The extruder can use any Nema17 motor with a standard 5mm shaft. This extruder is sold without motor! The Adapter direct-bowden shown on photos is not included! The photos shows the extruder equipped with additional items.

    • Bondtech is quality...
My extruder was worn out. I tried replacing it with one of those cheap aluminum extruders. What a disappointment. This was the worse design I have seen. Then I tried a cheap "knock-off" of the Bondtech extruder. While it worked most of the time, it still had it's problems. One of the worse was that once the filament was in, it was next to impossible to get it out. Then, I bought the expensive Bondtech extruder out of frustration. It was easy to install and best of all, it WORKED!! It was easy to load and easy to unload. Yeah, it cost more, around $100, but after using it for a few prints, I am not taking it off. It works, I don't have to worry about it. My prints come out great and it works! Buy this one, you will be glad you did once you use it. ... show more

I can't speak to any of the reports about fake products, but mine was genuine. And it works flawlessly on my Ender 5. I have purchased an off-brand knockoff and was not satisfied at all with the quality on it. The price is high, but you do get what you pay for. I've tried 4-5 different extruders and this is by far my favorite. Goodbye under extrusion, goodbye extruder blowouts. The only thing I could possibly ding this for is that manually removing the filament for a mid-print filament change is a bit of pain, but it manageable and a small price to pay for the reliability that I get from it. ... show more

I'm seriously questioning if this is authentic. This is my second bondtech bmg extruder but this one is questionable. The gears would not turn when I was inspecting alignment. I found the housing had a lot of plastic shavings and some metal shavings. The stepper drive gear has rust spots (speckled) and some surface rust. After brushing out the debris and wiping off some grease filled with debris it still doesn't turn freely like my other bmg extruder -slight grinding. Also the filament path is jagged on the top portion and I can see white I believe the black is a coating and white underneath. Anyway seriously disappointed it doesn't match the quality of my first bmg extruder and honestly makes me feel like it is a clone or was missed in quality control. ... show more

I have purchased several clones and decided to treat myself to one genuine BMG. The difference in build quality and design considerations is immediately apparent when compared to the cheaper clones. If I could justify the cost, I'd just use these, but the clones are half the price and mostly as good. ... show more

So I have an ender 5 pro, and a allmetal hotend, was wondering if there’s something that’ll make a connection from a Bowden tube to the larger opening of the bond tech? Now I’m not sure if this was meant to work with an ender 5 as I have it

I replaced E3D Titan in my printer (UMMD- do a search) with the Bondtech BMG and it is a much better design and much more solidly constructed. I expect to use it for years to come. I have replaced a Titan in one of the makerspace printers with a BMG, too. Highly recommended!

    • Lives up to the hype
This extruder lives up to the hype. Upgrading from a standard hobbed gear to the dual gear has improved my standard filament extrusion as well as enabled me to utilize flexibles. The housing is well designed and came with all the parts needed. Gears should be lubed, so it should have come with a small tube of their recommended blend like other compinents do, but I had some on hand. I have a dual extruder setup and have this side by side with one of the more popular clones and both work the same. However, this one is more polished and has a smaller footprint. ... show more

Quality product here and sure you can buy clones cheaper but support the original design people and they will make more great products, support knockoffs and great items won't be made....
