the culture was mostly dead, I think a heat pack might have helped, I checked the culture with a magnifing glass, very few worms were active...I set it up as I would any other micro worm culture, in hopes of getting what is left of the culture to propagate again.

When I held the plastic bag up to the light and looked closely there was a lot of movement like a shimmering effect. I was short on time so it sat in the packaging for 2 days after delivery before I could culture it. I then divided it into 3 cultures of wet bread/yeast. 3 days later I started seeing dozens of worms climb up the side of all the containers when I was expecting it to take a week for results. ... show more

I ordered this on jan 27 and just received this today. I was not expecting it to take almost 2 weeks to receive my order and i honestly could not tell if there is actually anything in here other than overly wet smelly oatmeal.

Smelly filth. It just molded and fouled. I saw no worms . Please don't waste your time and money. Even if I failed (which I don't think) with it, the culture was as nasty as bad sewage. So beware.

I bought a starter culture but all I got was rotting oatmeal... Ended up growing some interesting fungi as a result... (I set up a container with mashed potatoes and waited several weeks. Saw no movement what so ever.)
