So to start off, this one is quite nice, it's a good size, double the height of the average one, so it can be either a useful tool box or a desk ornament. So as a desk ornament (not my desired use) it doesn't compete well with my ornamental desk tool box. I'm totally not a fan of the lid here for that, because it means i have to keep the top open at all times if i want to open a drawer, and i prefer to keep stuff in the top and put things on top of it. The other negative is something that i mitigated with grease, but the drawers don't open as smoothly as the one i use as ornamental. if i was to use this for that, I'd probably modify the lid so it doesn't have the front piece. Now, what i did order this for, 3d printing, yes I'm using it as a tool box, lol. So the weird lid is pretty good for me here, i use the top to hold a bunch of little parts, with a few tools in the top. Having the top like this allows me to grab and go without worrying about the drawers opening, so it's pretty good for this purpose. The bottom works great, but the bottom drawer is pretty disappointing, it's basically a small drawer with a taller front piece, so it's great for larger items, but it's not a deep drawer that you can keep a ton of little pieces in... Overall, the red color looks great, and matches my large brand box in my garage, it comes with the drawer liners and once greased the drawers operate good enough. To be fair to this item, the much smaller 3-drawer decorative box that I compared this to cost more than this for something about the size of just the top box. So one would expect that thing would be a bit.. more.. But it's quite close in most ways that matter. This box is quite durable and looks great, so i don't regret getting it at all, it's just not perfection.

I wanted to love these mini toolboxes. The idea is adorable. But the execution, in my opinion, is lacking. I do like that both boxes in the set came with little grippy feet (see pics), and the overall aesthetic. The color is even, for the most part, but the construction is kind of shoddy. Many of the edges are sharp. The drawers on the smaller box are difficult to open, and the flip up lid is wobbly so it makes a lot of noise if the surface it's on is moved at all. At first, I wanted to use these for cosmetics storage. But once I started loading them, the size just wasn't quite right. Another 1/4" in or so of depth would have allowed a lot more options (for instance, a standard lip gloss tube is juuuust too long to fit in lengthwise, so you can only store it sideways, taking more room and leaving unusable space at the end, and all but one of the drawers aren't high enough for something like a blush compact). Items at the back of the drawers were harder to access because of the difficulty sliding it open. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pics before I took it all out. Plan B was sewing supply storage. I did find the size better suited for this. I was able to clear out almost everything from my sewing box and organize it neatly in this set. Ultimately, I'll keep the boxes for this use, but I can't say I'd recommend them for this price.

This is a deceptively small tool chest. The measurements are accurate as depicted in the pictures from the ad. However, some of the pictures are a bit misleading. For instance, it shows one of the drawers in the top section with what appears to be a needle‑nose plier and a tape measure. Now you can fit a small needle‑nose plier in there, but no tape measure that I've ever seen will fit in that drawer, other than perhaps a dressmaker's tape. I do a lot of amateur gunsmithing, and for me, this tool chest is perfect. It's a good place to put small parts like headspace gauges and tools like small screwdrivers and tiny wrenches. I also do some wood burning, and it is the perfect place to store extra wood burning tips. It is best suited for a hobbyist's table rather than a workshop. I must say I do like the design. It really closely mimics the full-size tool chest I have in my workshop. The top section closes with a magnetic lid. One of the magnets came detached. However, I didn't take off any stars for this because I was able to put it back in a couple of seconds with a drop of super glue. It is made of stamped sheet metal. The drawers do not have actual drawer slides, but rather just glide over tabs in the sheet metal. This causes the drawers to stick a bit. However, a brief shot of lubricant in the grooves on each side of the drawers pretty much took care of that problem. Each drawer comes with a rubber liner, which makes it very convenient to hold small parts without a lot of bouncing or rattling around. It comes with stick-on bumper feet for the bottoms of each box. Be aware when you put it together that, somewhat counter-intuitively, the small bumpers go on the large box and the large bumpers go on the small box. This allows the small top box to lock securely onto the lower box without sliding around. The folding cover on the top box accurately replicates that found on a full-size tool chest. Overall, I would have to say I'm quite happy with this little tool chest, but just be aware, it is really small and only suited for miniature tools and small parts.
