  • Easy, light, affordable, and great for even a first-time camper in cold weather Easy, light, affordable, and great for even a first-time camper in cold weather
Color: Army Green
Need a small, light-weight tent for cold weather camping? I recommended this tent. I was not paid to write this review. I purchased this tent after searching for and comparing 4-season tents that may be acceptable to camp with for 1 person, that would hold 2 people, if necessary. It comes with the tent-which has windows and doors on two sides of the tent. An outer liner, that when properly secured, keeps out rain, snow, and wind. The liner also allows for access into/out of the tent on two sides. There are 2 vents in the liner that will velcro shut. The set-up comes with 10 stakes - 4 to be used at each corner of the tent, 2 for staking the non-door sides, 2 for guy wires, and 2 to pull the liner taught on each side where it opens. There are only 2 poles. This tent is definitely an easy one-person set up and take down. My first campout in this tent was in November 2025 where the temperatures were just above freezing and we received rain overnight-pouring rain. Because the tent was properly staked and liner taught, I remained dry inside. My second campout in this tent was in December 2025. Setting up camp, it was about 31 degrees outside. By the time I woke in the morning, it was 3 degrees with a windchill of -11. You could see a frost line building on the tent, by my gear and I stayed dry and wind protected. As one person, about 5'2", there is more than enough room to fully spread out to sleep. Again, a second person can fit, but I have not camped with a second person in the tent at this point. I am a long time camper of summer camping - more used to a "glamping-type" set up. This December camping was my very first true winter camping, and I was well prepared with this tent. I highly recommend this tent if you are looking for something small, light, and affordable. ... show more

  • Well worth the price and MORE!
Color: Army Green
Pleasantly surprised! This little tent is a great product at a *shockingly* low price. Don't let the lower price fool you. I bought this for me (5'5" woman) and it's super roomy inside. There's plenty of room for my bed and clothing. I like the rectangular shape as it's more functional than a circle shape. There are 2 pockets at each end and a pocket you can hang at the top to keep items out of the way. In addition, there's a hook at the top for a light, etc. The weight is just over 6 pounds and it's super easy to carry around. I unpacked it all and installed it, thinking I needed to let the "stink" out before I used it. No stink, yeah!. The material is durable and both waterproof and windproof which is the main reason why I chose this one. I camp regularly at a coastal site with fog, mist and wind. The 2 poles are easy to connect and the stakes are metal (not plastic). Re-packing was easy and I rolled the tent and the cover which helped me to pack up without a fight. Everything appears top notch and I am looking forward to using it in a couple of weeks. ... show more

  • Good all season tent
Color: Realistic Camouflage
Good tent for the price. True 2 person tent. Or for me one person and a St. Bernard. Easy to put up and packs back smaller than new so is easily backpacked. Thick flooring and good waterproofing. I go dispersed camping every weekend and it's been great for me and the dog. The flooring holds up to his claws great. ... show more

  • 4 season tent
Color: Realistic Camouflage
I needed a tent that wasn’t too big for backpacking or camping. This product really fit my purpose and I love that. It’s a four season tent for different types of weather. It is a two person tent and very compact but sturdy. I plan to use it while I go kayaking and camping simultaneously so it suits my purpose. This four season tent was absolutely amazing. It was very easy to set up. I had to camp at the driving five hours and sleep for a few hours and it was so comfortable and warm. It was easy to disassemble and fold back up and very compact. I’m always cold, but this tent was warm and comfortable The perfect camping, backpacking, kayaking tent to have a must buy! ... show more

  • Great Snow Tent Great Snow Tent
Color: Yellow
I bought this tent for camping in the Grand Canyon after seeing a forecast for snow. It is super light and setting it up took ten minutes. The tent poles are very strong and the tent material for both the inner and outer tents was light, but strong. It also comes with quality lightweight stakes that I was able to hammer all the way into the ground and pull out of icy snow without bending. Space inside is perfect for two people side by side with duffel bags at our feet. I could lay three Z insulation pads next to each other so we weren’t cramped. It was about 20F when I got in the tent for the night and the tent was dry and warmer even after sleet and flurries all day. Overnight it snowed two feet and I didn’t even notice until I heard my fellow campers digging themselves out of their collapsed tents. This Geertop tent has steep walls that prevented snow buildup from bending the poles so the tent was exactly as we had set it up. There was minimal condensation in the tent and I was able to keep my boots dry and snow-free in the space between the inner and outer tent flaps. The temperature outside was around 15F and I was very comfortable in the tent with my sleeping bag unzipped. (Our mummy sleeping bags were rated to 14F.) Having two doors was very convenient and I loved that the outer tent had strong door flaps that help up against the wind and weight of the snow. Packing the tent back up was a breeze even while another blizzard was kicking up. The snow shook off easily and both tent and outer fly were totally dry so I was able to roll them up and pack them into their bag quickly. I am extremely impressed with the quality and durability, especially in winter storm conditions. For $100 you cannot get a better winter tent than this Geertop. ... show more

Color: Yellow
I have had mine for a few seasons now and it has been an awesome little tent. I wanted a tent that would be great for solo trips, and primitive sights. I had a few things on my checklist and this tent has worked well. It is cool and airy when it is hot, warm and dry when it's cold and wet. It's small and light enough for bike and canoe camping and short backpacking trips. (If your trying to be super light this might not be the one.) I've used it on the open beach, and in the shaded woods. It gets plenty of ventilation and air with it's mesh top and screen doors closed when the fly is off, yet still offers plenty of privacy when sleeping or changing. With the fly on, it offers protection from wind and rain and can be cozy. It has stood up to a stiff breezes while island camping, and kept out light rain. I haven't been in HEAVY rain with it....but I always apply scotch guard to my tents (at least the fly) before adventures. I've had no leaks or tears. It is uber roomy for one camper and able to accommodate 2 if they "like each other". The dual doors again are great for ventilation, egressing when accommodating two campers, and stowing gear. It is self standing, so no worries if pitching in sand, grass or in your living room. Been happy with my purchase and look forward to using it on my next trip. ... show more

  • Pleasantly Surprised
Color: Yellow
I was VERY pleasantly surprised with this tent, especially considering the price. I was shying away from camping in colder weather because well, I didn't want to shiver all night. Despite having a -25 (minus 25) degree farenheit bag, last time I slept in 30 degree weather, I got cold! Of course I wasn't dressed properly, had a non-insulated air mattress AND was in a 3 season tent. I counted soley on the rating of the bag to keep me warm, and quickly found out the hard way that it doesn't work that way. After educating myself on colder weather camping, I picked up the budget 7.2R sleeping pad, and after Google Gemini Ai recommended it to me, THIS tent. Long story short, temp dropped down to 22 degrees Fahrenheit, went to bed in synthetic thermals on the new sleeping pad and I slept like a baby - NEVER got cold, not even a little. I can't attest to it's waterproofing yet (or longevity) as it hasn't rained, but it seems to be very well designed and built, and the seems & waterproof coating all look good. When set up, it's as sturdy as a 3 season tent I have that cost almost 3X as much, although the fabric is a bit lighter. Comes with aluminum poles (only 2 needed) and quality aluminum, well designed, lightweight pegs. (NOT those cheap, bent wire things, thank GOD!) Setup was quick, simple and straight forward. I had it out in moderate winds and although it flaps just a bit in gusts (but not bad), it kept the wind out completely. Opened both of the roof vents and was extremely pleased with the lack of condensation, there was almost none on the inside layer in the morning, it all formed on the outer layer and kept the inside bone dry. Not so sure I'd like to sleep in it with another, full sized human being stuffed in there alongside me, lol, but I usually camp alone, and it's plenty roomy enough for one adult with space left over for some gear. A child or dog would probably be fine, but not sure it would be very comfortable for 2 adults. I also had to let out an audible chuckle when it surprisingly fit right back into the bag it came out of without any aggravation or choice words being echoed through the woods, that IS a switch, lol. So, especially for the money, this thing hits it out of the park, and so far, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. If it falls apart or leaks, I'll update this review but, so far, I'm a "happy camper", lol. ... show more

  • GeerTop. A Good buy
Color: Army Green
I like the tent, it seems well designed and thought out. It will take some getting used to as I am replacing a Eureka Tetragon7 that I have owned since 2003. Certainly not as much interior room and I am hard pressed to see how two adults can comfortably sleep in it. The tent went up quickly on the first setup and was easy to fish support rods through the tent supports. Over fly also easy to situate and adjust. Quality control not so hot. Most of tent done well but one door panel has a zip that is missing a tooth so can’t continuously zip from one end to the other. The mesh storage piece that toggle hooks into top loops is missing stitching on the center seam and it’s a long enough miss that I can put three fingers through the missed stitches. I haven’t used the tent yet so I am returning the tent for an exchange. Hopefully next one has better QC. ... show more
