This kit is awesome. Pi case with heatsink and the fan has had a significant cooling effect on the CPU. This case converts the standard ports of the Raspberry Pi to the back and provides a full-size HDMI connection. It was easy to assemble and all worked fine.

    • Works out of the box
Easy enough to assemble. Easy enough to load the desired linux/Pi operating system. Of course there's no monitor (there are workarounds online) and no keyboard (again you can use an on-screen keyboard). A little pricey but supply and demand determines price. Case is sturdy and fan works well/quiet.

    • Fun product, too expensive
Great product, too bad it is so expensive, feels like price gouging when there are no bare raspberry units available. It was easy to put together and it's totally cute! It even comes with a little heat sink and fan.

    • Sellers taking advantage of the shortage
The product is fine - its a raspberry pi 4 with a nice case and heat sink. But keep in mind that the MSRP for a RBPi 4 is $55. Give them an extra 20 bucks for the case and extras, this should be sold for less than $100, but it's currently being sold at $250, even when the shortage has abated significantly. I returned mine and picked up another board for 70. ... show more

I have a few other Raspberry Pi's they work fine, but the enclosure on this one is superior in that it presents all the input/output cables in the rear and the power button, and extra USB jacks in the front.

Everything you need to setup a nice Raspberry Pi system. I have this one running as a Pi-hole and recursive DNS server for my fairly large home network. The case is really nice with a great heatsink and fan. The system runs cool (32.6 C) and is very quiet. The conversion from the Pi board's Micro HDMI to standard HDMI ports on the case is super convenient. The only fault I found during the build was that the case installation guide didn't include instructions for installing the clear lens for the power and drive activity LEDs on the Pi motherboard. It's pretty easy to figure out, but make sure it's installed before closing the case up at the end of the build. ... show more

I got this kit because I wanted a Raspberry Pi 4 and they are currently pretty hard to find. I didn't care about the other items included when I ordered it, however I was impressed. The overall build quality and the additional breakout board to add additional USB 2 and full size HDMI ports is excellent. I would highly recommend this. The case feels sold and fits the IO ports well and the active cooling is just bonus. ... show more
