Description

The GEARWRENCH combination wrenches are durable tools for most jobs. They are made from alloy steel with either a full polish or satin finish that resists rust & corrosion. The off-corner loading design on both ends provides a stronger grip on fasteners, reduces fastener rounding, and delivers up to 25% more torque to the fasteners. Sizes are stamped on the beam for quick, easy, & permanent identification. The box end is offset 15° for increased access to fasteners. Available in stubby & long pattern lengths and 6 & 12 point, the GEARWRENCH combination wrenches are a must have for every toolbox.

    • Great bang for the buck!
These are great for the home "mechanic". As others have said, some of the alignment on the openings are not perfect. This has not been an issue. I love that there are no "skips" in sizes. I used quit a few sizes while changing a lift on my Jeep. The wrenches held up well even under heavy torque loads. They also did a great job not damaging bolt/nut heads. I have 12-point wrenches but specifically wanted 6-point wrenches for the lift because some of the bolts I was removing were rusted and dinged up. I wanted the least amount of damage possible. These wrenches seemed to be a really accurate fit and gripped extremely well. They are great value for what you get. ... show more

    • Professional 6 point combination wrench set
Great long pattern 6 point combination wrench set, look great and professional, it includes continuous wrench sizes both SAE and Metric, so it doesn't skip needed sizes. After researching these combination wrenches are made of premium alloy steel, high carbon alloy steel, chrome vanadium alloy steel, these 3 I found on different web pages, so I think it is high quality alloy steel, drop forged, heat treated, tempered oil quenched, for strength and durability. I find these are high quality tools to last. My set came with a 15/16" - 12 point combination wrench, instead of 6 point. I called GW and refered me to Amazon to solve this problem, mostly return the set for exchange to get the correct wrench, but this is a burden so I will keep it and will try to find a 15/16 - 6 point wrench myself and buy it or get a Craftsman wrench from Sears. Maybe GW ran out of wrenches at packaging so they tossed in a 12 point to complete it, but except for this small burden the GW 6 point set is great so I will keep it and use it on my shop, will buy more Gearwrench tools in the future. ... show more

I have wanted a set of 6 pt wrenches for the longest time. These are far less likely to round a nut than the 12 pt design not have. The finish was finish was of good quality on the set I received. The only complaint is that all of the ends are not oriented the same. Wen working on something I am in the habit of aligning things by feel. When each end is slightly different that is noticeable, they do not slip other the nut the same way. Minor annoyance than anything. For the quality at this price point they are great. ... show more

This is an essential set of wrenches if you live in or near the rust belt, or on a farm, and are dealing with rusty nuts and bolts on a regular basis. Upon arrival, I inspected the set, and found nothing wrong, as far as workmanship and quality of the wrenches. Everything was as it should be. These work like they should. Sure, they are slower than a 12 point, or ratcheting wrench, but being 6 point, these will save you grief in some situations. Their main job is to break a fastener loose, with less chance of rounding it off. Very satisfied with them. I highly recommend these. ... show more
