  • High-quality serpentine belt tool RLH
Size: (Pack of 1)
Nice scent of serpentine belt, sockets and crowfoot came in a nice carrying case was thinking about buying icon, but I think gear wrench is a lot better quality too have not had a chance to use it yet seems to be made of high-quality material

  • The perfect solution!
Size: (Pack of 1)
This tool seems expensive, until you realize that it gets the job done safely and efficiently on any tensioner that I have encountered. I have been guilty of using some half-assed solutions in the past, leading to busted knuckles, bad language, and wasted time. No more! I have occasionly found other effective uses for this tool in close quarters, not just belt tensioners. ... show more

  • Definitely makes things easier
Size: (Pack of 1)
Definitely makes manipulating the belt tensioner easier than alternatives like a breaker bar or wrench. Picked this one because I thought being able to have the angled bar versus a long fixed bar would be especially helpful in my application as there are multiple coolant hoses to work around and was absolutely right. Well worth it in my opinion. Clearly well made and did the job exactly as I was expecting. ... show more

  • Great tool for serpentine belt removal
Size: (Pack of 1)
I have worked on cars for 30 years and have always used an end wrench to pull up the tensioner and remove/install serpentine belts, but it van be really hard to access them at times. This set has many adapters to reach and fit any tensioner I have needed it for so far. The length and slim design make it easy to reach and the tool if very well made and durable. Probably not worth it if you don't work on cars regularly, buy if you do, it is a must have. ... show more

  • Great idea although a little cumbersome
Size: (Pack of 1)
At under $80, this tool is great if you need a serpentine belt remover although the single piece belt tools are "better" in my opinion. The 2piece design does allow for more flexibility for those harder to access pulleys. Comes with 3/8, 1/2 and I believe 3/4 ( i only use the 1/2 so I forget which ones it has) attachments, so it should cover most applications. The major flaw in this tool is that the attachments tend to stick on the tensioner, which result in the bit falling or staying on there. I believe the issue is mostly due to the bit design and finish. I usually wrap paper around the bit and that usually causes enough friction to keep the bit in place. Overall, ill recommend this tool if you need it. ... show more

  • Much better than the Pittsburgh Serpentine Belt Tool Kit
Size: (Pack of 1)
I bought this after first trying the Harbor Freight Pittsburgh Serpentine Belt Tool Kit. This kit is much better and worth the extra cost IMO. This handle ratchets, whereas the other didn't. The sockets in this kit are much lower profile than the Pittsburgh and fit in the small gap on my 2007 Mazda 6i where the other didn't. The two arms of the tool are also held together much more tightly because there's a rubber o-ring that grips it and doesn't let it fall out easily. The two handle pieces of the Pittsburgh fall apart very easily with side to side movement. Overall it's quite good, though I do wish the ratcheting action was finer. I had to move the handle further than I'd like to go back a tooth. I also wish the socket was held a bit more tightly in the wrench, like with a detent pin or something. The socket was wedged so tightly onto my tensioner bolt that the handle popped off the socket when I tried to remove it. ... show more

  • Versatility over a lifetime of cars!!
Size: (Pack of 1)
Bought this after struggling twice to remove a belt on a 2001 Acura TL. There is literally 0.75" between the idler bolt and the inner wheel fender of the car body. Very little clearance. I had purchased a HF serpentine tool which barely worked with crow's foot and only when I pried the idler pulley up a bit first using a 1x2x14" piece of lumber. Even at that the crows foot slipped off the bolt several times! Grrr!!! Had to remove the power steering bracket to get enough clearance to have a chance and even then this was a major PITA! I was removing the belt to replace the idler pulley. I was forced to reinstall the old pulley when I realized that the part I ordered from Amazon that "Fit my car" was not the right part. Grrr again!!! I had another failed attempt before due to running out of time. Sufficed to say that using the wrong tools can burn an embarrassingly huge amount of time. Having the right tool for the right job cannot be overstated. And while another tool might work for one particular application, this tool provides the greatest amount of versatility for almost every vehicle. This will last a lifetime and will pay for itself over and over again. ... show more

  • Best serpentine belt tool on the market!
Size: (Pack of 1)
I have been an automotive technician for several years, and I've used many different serpentine belt tools over the years. The best tool I've come across has been the Gearwrench tool, a co-worker of mine had the non-flex head version of this tool and it was better than any tool truck set that I had used before. Upon learning that Gearwrench made a locking flex head version I made the decision to buy it and have no regrets. I use this tool multiple times a week and it is GREAT! ... show more
