This is a great kit for someone who just purchased a new firearm and is starting from scratch. You will have everything you need for your first few cleanings, and the amount of solvent and lube will last you a long time. If you don't know a lot about Frog Lube, the first thing you need to know is that you need to remove all factory grease (on a new gun) or all other petroleum products that have been used on the firearm before your initial use, and this kit gives you the solvent to remove those pervious oil based products. I highly recommend watching you tube videos on how to apply frog lube. It is a very different procedure from your typical gun cleaning and lubricating products. I have been using this on a brand new Glock 19 Gen 4 and the results have been wonderful. I started by using the solvent to remove all factory grease. You then liberally apply Frog Lube all over the slide and frame (I worked in sections), making sure not to apply it in the few places you should not lube a lock (see manual). You then use a hair blow dryer to heat up the gun which allows the metal to expand and bond with the frog lube. After that you let it sit for an hour before wiping everything off. The results are that your gun will extremely easy to clean after a session at the range. Most carbon deposits simply wipe away. So while the initial time investment may be substantial, your cleanings every time there after will be greatly shortened and much easier. After firing 250 rounds I can have my lock back to looking brand new in about 15 minutes. Make sure you read the directions and watch some videos to get more details on how to apply as my instructions are certainly abbreviated. The best part about Frog Lube is that it is plant based, good for the environment, and it smells really nice. I have no qualms about using this in my living room. Happy shooting. Be safe.

FrogLube as a product is great. I have put the paste on every one of my guns and it has run flawlessly. In my AR, with proper application, it makes clean up after a couple of shoots of about 3-400 rounds each (I didn't clean every time to test it) a breeze. For lubrication, just rubbing some on the area you need lubed is enough to make it run through all types of heat, dirt, and for extended periods of time. Two problems I have for FrogLube itself is that application is kinda a PITA and it is pretty expensive. Heat the part you want lubed, scrub, let sit for a while, and then wipe off the excess. The price is an issue when you can buy a huge tub of grease for a fraction of the cost and it will work the same, minus the all natural ingredient thing. (half star) As for this kit, I think it is a waste of money if you have a basic gun cleaning kit at home. I find the swabs and brush largely unnecessary as most of us have an old toothbrush and Q tips at home. 1oz of the Solvent is okay, but isn't nearly enough for multiple guns, and there are better ones out there. The liquid FrogLube is good, but the paste is all you really need. And the towel, is well, just a towel. Is it worth ~$32, maybe if you have nothing else at home, but money would be better spent purchasing your own solvent (~$10-15), a tub of Frog Lube paste ($10), set of 5 brushes ($5), hundreds of swabs ($5), and a set of microfiber towels ($10-15). This is all assuming you have no toothbrushes hiding behind the toilet seat or in your battery drawer, and do not want to use Q-tips. Total coming out to about $45 but you get substantially more uses than this FrogLube kit. (-1 star) Total 3.5 stars FrogLube FrogTube 5Pc Kit (1/1.5/4Oz)

Seems to do the trick. It seems to work well to protect and lubricate firearms. Maybe a little on the pricey side but it goes a long way. I haven’t noticed and cycling issues or unusual wear with this. The solvent is good for grease and gunk, but you’ll need to scrub for carbon and corrosion as you’d expect. It doesn’t seem to stain wood, it cleans up easy, I like the smell, and I like that it is nontoxic.
