  • GearWrench is worth it!
Style: 30-250 ft/lbs
Tool works grate and has a very good mechanical feel and finish. I bought this to torque axel shaft retainers, and other high torque bolts on my truck that I work on seldom. I needed the 1/2" drive for the deep well sockets that I use on my impact gun. Very easy to adjust and locks positively in place. I like the engraved numbers as I have other torque wrenches that have stenciled in numbers and when cleaning the tool they have faded away. It is very well made and the tear drop head makes it easier to access small places. Also the direction of the ratchet is done by a lever cam which is much better, IMO, than a rotary cam which allows you to grip the back of the ratchet head and torque with control. Great tool and I would recommend this to too anyone looking for a quality tool that will be used occasionally, and accurate enough to satisfy most all automotive needs for the average mechanic. It comes with a great carry case too! ... show more

  • Excellent tool.
Style: 30-250 ft/lbs
I have used this model of torque wrench for the better part of a decade now. This is an excellent tool, that I have come to trust and rely on. The longer handle on this specific model gives better leverage for tightening fasteners at the higher end of the torque range. The adjustment collar and handle are very intuitive to use and do not shift adjustment on accident like some other designs I have used. The knurling on the handle grip is excellent, and provides good grip even in wet, oily, or muddy conditions. The large torque range of 30-250 lbs makes this perfect for virtually any automotive task. This is an excellent, high quality tool, and one I use almost daily at the shop, or out in the field. ... show more

  • Reliable so far
Style: 30-250 ft/lbs
I bought this to replace an old SK they walked off. I can't afford another SK right now, and I've got a few other smaller Gearwrench torque wrenches, so I decided to try this out. My older Gearwrench wrenches that I bought about 10 years ago were made in the USA. Sadly, they no longer are and this is now made in China. However, you wouldn't know it by using it. It's very solid and well built and the machining is excellent. I immediately checked the accuracy on a gauge and it was less than 2lbs off at 150ft/lbs, which is very good. I don't like the slip coller as much as the rotating lock on my USA models, and those also have a nicer padded handle, but those are minor complaints. Overall this is a very good product and has been every bit as reliable as my old SK that someone helped themselves to. ... show more

  • Perfect for the price.
Style: 30-250 ft/lbs
Works great. It’s accurate. Heavy duty. Can’t beat it for the price.

  • Large Head, 2 lb-ft increments, but affordable and from a reputable brand
Style: 30-250 ft/lbs
I am a Proto torque wrench loyalist due to their proven reliability and ability to hold calibration year over year. I've seen them in industry and know they are excellent, but they are pretty expensive and I rarely have a need to go over 150 ft lbs with the work I do. I was going to kick off a job and I knew I needed to torque something to about 165 ft lbs, but couldn't justify the high cost of a Proto for a single use so I went for this Gearwrench for less than a benjamin and got the job done. Overall, I'm happy so far. It feels well made and the ratchet mechanism is nice but the head is pretty thick. If I were a professional, I might opt for a higher end brand offering a slimmer head or maybe some flex but this was more than sufficient for my need. The wrench came with a calibration certificate which I will assume is accurate. Gearwrench is reputable and stands behind their products, unlike a lot of random brands available here. ... show more

  • Gearwrench says it all
Style: 30-250 ft/lbs
For the money I will pay this all day long. I love gear wrench, great quality, very durable and long lasting. I bought this 1/2in Dr. specifically to torque down Lugnuts and I was wanting something that went up to 250 foot pounds. I highly recommend buying this over any non-namebrand. It’s not too expensive. I will be purchasing a 3/8th Dr. as well. ... show more

  • Great wrench at this price
Style: 30-250 ft/lbs
Fantastic wrench that replaced my old, broken Craftsman unit. I love the simple, bombproof cam lever and the knurled grip is easy to set and very precise. The "click" when you hit the selected torque setting is very positive and feels excellent. Comes with a factory torque accuracy test readout which is nice. Overall feels like it will last a long time to come and is a pleasure to use. ... show more
