I like the higher flow rate for chilled water and the high clearance for filling water bottles and pitchers. Safety slider for hot water works smoothly. Not a decor piece, but clean lines and does a very good job for replacing my high-sodium city water in Saint Augustine (due to salt-water-intrusion in city wells (thanks Florida developers)). ... show more

What a great find. For only $200 this will hold the clear water, chill it, or heat it. I was frustrated waiting for the small filter from the refrigerator filling lots of pictures, so I turned to 5 gallon purified jugs and then needed something to hold it. This GE product was prefect and the bonus for heating and cooling water is really terrific. ... show more

    • So far, I am happy with it

Review Image by Laura's a Nightowl
After I took it out of the box, I let it sit overnight in order for the Freon to settle into the condenser, at least I think that's what it's for. I cleaned it well, ran a couple of gallons through, unplugging the back on both sides in order to make sure all of the tap water I put in came out before I added my spring water. This is an excellent design for a top loader. It can be a little loud sometimes but it's not intolerable. See the video for more of what I like about it. ... show more

Product arrived quickly and was easy to set up. It was packaged tightly in its box. I rinsed out the well a couple of times to reduce the possibility of any bad taste from a new water appliance. Everything worked well from the start.

Style: Top-Loading Color: Charcoal
On the plus side: Attractive, easy to load, good water flow, nite light is nice, easy to fill tall bottles. On the negative side: Very noisy when cycling, it took about 25 gallons of water to flush the heavy plastic taste out of the system. I am amending my original review because the hot water tap no longer is flowing. This machine has proven to be a dud! ... show more

This was a replacement for another top load model that lasted over 14 years. Purchased a different brand but it leaked so I returned it and bought this instead. Easy to fill larger bottles. The only downfall is that it could be a little quieter but it's really not that bad.

    • Worked great for 7 months
Style: Top-Loading Color: Charcoal
After 7 months it started pouring water out all over my floor. I tried switching the bottle and still leaked according to the trouble shooter. There is a leak in the tank on the machine. I unplugged it and water was dripping out the electrical wires. I emailed GE from the product registration was given a phone number to call. Got transferred around 3 times. Had to re explain everything each time. Finally got someone and she tell me I have to pull the product plate off, cut it in half. Then purchase a new on, with my own money. Send them a photo of the receipt of my purchase and the plate cut in half. Then in 20 days they will reimburse the money for the old product only. Not the cost of purchasing a new one. I would not recommend. Try another brand. I will not purchase from GE again. They do not stand behind their products. ... show more

    • Nice cold water!
Style: Top-Loading Color: Charcoal
I was replacing an old GE water cooler and wanted another GE. The water is really cold which we like. I had to return one that didnt cool the water. Also, I see some reviewers saying it is noisy but I havent heard a sound from mine. Very pleased with purchase.
