This light bub is a nice thing to have as it provides you with the proper lighting while also giving you the option of changing the color. First thing I will say about it is that this is not an wifi light so you cannot have this be turned on from your phone or through a smart hub. You can however change the lighting intensity and such. You can set the bulb to whatever color or intensity you wish and it will save. This is nice because you can make a warm light for reading or a bright light for the entire room. It is a simple install where you just screw it into the socket. It has a setting to determine how bright you want it. It fits any standard light bulb socket so you can put it anywhere from indoors to the outdoor fixture but be aware you will need to protect this light bulb from the rain. This light can be super bright and blinding if you want it to be which you can use if you want to use this outside to deter people. The light does not shut off on its own as it does not have motion detection. That being said I do not recommend using this light bulb for your rooms and such as you can modify the lighting to whatever you want and change up the room vibe from time to time. The bulb is pretty energy efficient and also you really only need one for a small bedroom. It will last you quite a long time. ... show more

With all the smart bulbs out there, sometimes it's refreshing to see and use a good old-fashioned bulb. To be fair, however, these aren't your grandmother's bulbs. They are LED, which is fantastic for energy conservation and longevity of the bulb itself, but these also have the ability to adjust the shade of light. You can choose between a bright, almost blue-based light or a softer amber-hued shade. To change the color, you simply turn it on and off quickly. If you leave the light on for more than about 5 seconds, it will "set" the color and it will remain until you once again turn it on and off again quickly. While it is hard to compete with some of the features of smart bulbs, it is nice not to have to load yet another app on my phone to use this bulb. Heck, even my dad can use this one. ... show more

I really like this bulb, But I bought it thinking it has colors and a remote control, but in fact the only thing this has is 2 different brightness of light, a soft white and daylight white. The claim "change color with just the flip of a switch" is you turn in off and back on within 5 seconds to change the brightness. it is a nice light but not what's in the heading. I was really hoping for the remote.. But I'll use this in another light. ... show more

There are times when I like having soft white, and times when I want the brighter "daylight" look. The problem is, swapping out bulbs is a pain. What if I could get both light temperatures in one bulb? This LED bulb is the answer in most situations. By all appearances it's a regular LED bulb. Screw it into the socket, and you're done. Turn the light on, and it illuminates with one color temperature. Want the other color temp? Not problem: turn the light off, then turn it on again within a few seconds, and when the light comes back on, it's shining with the other color temperature. No remotes, no WiFi, or anything else. I installed in in the lamp next to my bed. I really like the bulb. Most of the time it's soft white, but when I need to brighten things up a bit, two clicks of the pull chain and I have the daylight look. I've included two photos that were taken using the same settings. They aren't meant to show the brightness of the bulb, just the difference in color temperature. The caveat is, to change the temperature you need to be operating your light switch more often. For a regular wall toggle or "decora"-style switch this is likely not an issue. But if you install this in a lamp or fixture with a different type of switch (rotary, pull-chain, etc.), using this LED could put extra wear on the switch. If you don't need to change th light temperature often, it likely won't be an issue. But if you do, the possible extra wear on the switch is something to consider. ... show more

Where’s the remote? The video in the listing shows the bulbs being controlled by a remote, but nothing in the box I received has or says anything about it! Very disappointed in these expensive light bulbs that can’t do what’s advertised!
