Perfect fit, measures exactly what it says. Works great, the fan is stronger than our last microwave hood. There is a light buzzing noise when it’s running. Not loud enough to be worrisome, just not as quiet as some. The touchscreen glass door is a really nice, high tech touch.

I recently obtained this GE JNM3184RPSS microwave model, quite impressed with its performance to be truthful! 1. Large Capacity With a capacious 1.8 cubic feet, this microwave effortlessly embraces dinner plates, soup bowls, and microwave-safe containers. Say farewell to the vexation of accommodating larger dishes! 2. High Power With 900 watts of power, this microwave gets the job done swiftly. Be it reheating leftovers or preparing a quick snack, it significantly reduces cooking times with remarkable efficiency 3. 2-Speed Ventilation The 300-CFM ventilation system keeps my kitchen clear of cooking odors, steam, && smoke. The 2-speed fan locks in efficient ventilation 4. Add 30 Seconds Button Sometimes I need a little extra cooking time. The "Add 30 Seconds" button is a convenient feature for precisely adjusting cooking duration, I use this button the most out of all especially when heating up frozen icecream lol 5. This microwave was an updated version of an old failing GE unit. It’s represented in pictures here on Amazon and shows two over the stove, bright lights. I was hopeful it would be an improvement over the older models two-bulb single, centered light, but it came with a ONE bulb centered lighting unit! It was worse!

The GE JNM3184RPSS above the range microwave is a fairly aesthetic addition to my kitchen with a decent set of features. It has everything you'd typically expect from a microwave including convenience cooking buttons, multiple power levels, and pretty high power. I love the fact that it has a fingerprint resistant stainless steel surface as well which keep it looking great no matter how many times you use it. My biggest issue with this microwave is the venting, the venting worked well before adjusting the fan to vent to the top vent to the microwave. Once the fan was adjusted to vent to the top the microwave no longer seems to pull as much air flow through it. It’s a bit confusing since the vent is properly sized and everything is installed properly (I checked multiple times as I was scratching my head). Luckily since this microwave is fairly easy to install I was able to take it down and remount it a few times to see if everything was installed properly for venting. I will say haven't cooked much on the stove since installing it but I'm not confident that its going to do a good job ventilating just based on the performance I'm seeing. The only other issue I really have is that it doesn't really have the height to cover a standard sized gap that is dedicated for over the range appliances. Not sure why this is, I thought these sizes were standard but you can see in the picture there is a gap below the bottom of the microwave.

Hubby was finally able to install my new microwave, as a move was delayed! AARGH! It went in easily, and looks very sleek and modern. This is a big microwave, with lots of room. The turntable is large and moves smoothly. The controls have some presets, AND an Add 30 Seconds option, which I really really like. Everything on the control panel is digital, so the surface is smooth and easy to clean. There is also a timer, which realistically I will probably not use, but I know many cooks would find it useful. The 900 wattage means fast, even cooking, with wattage options for defrosting. I have had many microwaves over the years, including one of the very first ones made for residential use. This one is GREAT. There was virtually no learning curve, and I am very pleased with the cooking and defrosting results. The door opens easily and closes with a quiet "snick" rather than a "bang!" Hubby really appreciates that. We are both big microwave users for actual cooking, reheating, defrosting, and frozen dinners! We are both delighted with this microwave, and would recommend it without hesitation.
