I bought this used on Amazon Marketplace. It was missing screws but luckily a neighbor had extra for me. Also, some of the “fins” on the back was bent. Otherwise, it works great. I have a decent sized room and it keeps it cool. I have central AC but my room is the hottest in the house. I also use it for the sound and it’s pretty quiet compared to the old one I just took out. I bought this air conditioner to keep my 384 square feet tiny home cool and it is doing its job efficiently. The noise the unit makes is minimal and it looks nice in the window. It was fairly easy to install in the window.

Great for the summer! It works well for the price but I had a hard time building and installing it. My roommate has a different brand that was much easier to build and sits in her window better (but mine is cheaper and works just as well). It was incredibly difficult to screw the window support shelf in on the top of the unit. Also the back came a bit damaged. A bit loud but and clunky looking but all in all it’s a good AC and I definitely would recommend, especially if you’re on a budget! ... show more

The air has been out in my house for a couple weeks now, and the temperatures where I live have been getting up to 90 degrees, including being muggy and humid. I got this window unit, and it was fairly easy to install, and it is a LIFE SAVER. The rest of my house is like Satan's buttcrack on a grill, but my bedroom is absolutely freezing because of this ac unit, just the way I like it. And it's not too noisy, which is great! It's actually pretty quiet, not much louder than my normal ac, and there are no rattling sounds. It only took around an hour to fully cool my room from 90 degrees to probably down around 68 or so. This little machine is doing exactly what GE electronics do. I had a similar one that was about to hit its 10 year mark and figured I'd get a new one. I can the old one worked great and this one does exactly the same in the 12x12 room we use it in. The only thing that was more flimsy was the filter. It seems like it could break easy if you pull it out wrong or angle it while pushing it back in. It was fairly quiet and easy to install. We don't have a big bedroom by no means, and we had it as high as it would go but the room never moved from 66 degrees. You can only turn the thermostat to 64 or higher. Unfortunately, we are returning it.

This unit was affordable, easy to install, and perfect for my small space! HOWEVER, I almost sent it back, because when I first plugged it in and left it on for a few hours, there was no cold air. As a last-ditch effort, I hit the "test" then "reset" button on the plug in the outlet and immediately felt the cold air kick in. My room cooled off very quickly.
