Stepping onto anything made of glass is counter-intuitive to me. So stepping onto a glass scale makes me hesitate. But this scale has 500 pound capacity, so no worries about it breaking or cracking while I’m standing on it. Big red LEDS are very easy to read over my stomach, even when I’m not wearing my glasses! Just put one foot on it, then take your foot off to activate and it’s ready to go! Step back on with both feet and it’s easy to read your weight! There is an app that goes on your phone to track your progress, but I haven’t tried that! ... show more

I bought a digital scale previously from Amazon. It's a no-name brand made in China. In just one year, it stopped working. I didn't even use it that much. It was just stored away most of the time. (Based on my experience, items made in China without a brand name break down FAST and now I'm avoiding any no-name brand items - you definitely get what you pay for!) I'm hoping this branded scale from GE will last longer. If this breaks down sooner than expected I will update my review. So far, so good. ... show more
