I'm very impressed with this remote. It is very sleek and feels good in my hands. I have slightly medium to large hands and it doesn't feel too small. For functionality this thing does what the description says. I would like to add some observations and viewpoints about the remote. First off, when you program it to an Xfinity X1 box it does not work with the Xfinity code. I had to use one of the Comcast codes. For functionality with the X1 box to navigate around the guide and the main menu etc, here are some important notes. The menu button gets you to the options for On Demand and your recordings, not the home button. The back button does not work for the Xfinity X1 box. You have to use the channel back button to exit a menu or a recording etc. This is the button between the channel and the volume buttons. Other than those minor issue it functions fine with Xfinity boxes. I wish it had the voice function but with my extensive research I was not able to find a remote that had the voice remote function. Ok so I have a Samsung Smart TV and I have noticed that a lot reviewers have mentioned this remote does not work with Samsung Smart TVs. I have had zero issues with using the back button on all of the apps that I use some I haven't tested as of yet, but all the main ones like Netflix, Prime Video and Hulu the back button seems to work fine. The only minor issue and it's a minor one at best is when you use the back button for Netflix it takes you to the home screen. Overall these minor little issues weren't enough for me to not give it five stars. I really love this remote and it does a great job for what I was looking for. I purchased the Rose Gold GE universal remote but the color looks more like regular Gold. The remote comes in a generic white box but the batteries (2 AA) were not included. The length of the remote is longer than expected a bit over 8.5 inches and 2 inches wide but not a deal breaker. The Gold design is different but cool compared to the basic remote color and style. Quality feels solid and it's light weight. I went with this remote because of the multiple functions, color, backlight and price. The set up was simple using the instructions. I'm currently using it for a Sharp TV and Vizio soundbar. Both connected and works well. One of the main functions I needed was the input button for my TV which finally worked with the last code. The backlight works good as well. I'm not able to comment on the Cable, Aux, Blu-Ray, and Stream buttons as I don't have devices to use those at the moment. I put batteries in it and pressed the on button. I figured it doesn't hurt to try, fully expecting it not to work without programming. Low and behold, it worked perfectly with the TV and Roku express. Pleasantly surprised! I remember having to go through a butt-ton of codes to get universals to work for half of the TV. I bought this for my father, after he had issues seeing the buttons on his old remote. He is vision-impaired, so I thought the backlit buttons would be useful. They're bright enough that he can see the buttons and I picked a remote color that makes it much easier to find if misplaced. Using the remote is fairly simple once we had the right code. Even though it can auto code search, I recommend trying the codes yourself. The remote worked with our tv, but some of the buttons didn't function correctly (mute selected language, ok was for password, home nor menu worked). Remote worked for 2 weeks then stopped working. I thought it was the batteries so I changed them and it still wouldn’t work. I lost the instructions to reprogram the remote, but looked on the internet and found instructions but only half of the programming sequence. Remote still didn’t work. Today I found the instructions, programmed the remove and the center directional buttons don’t work! I can’t enter any of my internet information because the buttons won’t move the cursor around my screen. It’s totally worthless and it’s 6 days after the return window closed so I’m stuck with a remote that won’t work and a tv that won’t work either. I am forced to buy ANOTHER remote and hope that one works for this tv!!! I just want to watch tv in my bedroom not go broke buying remotes and batteries!!! VERY UNHAPPY! ... show more
