Description

Welcome to unlimited hot water demand, courtesy of GE Appliances tankless electric water heaters. Conserve energy and water by only using energy when hot water is in use, saving you money. This system installs at point of use so you can have instant and continuous hot water flow where you need it. The space-saving and compact design takes up significantly less space than a tank style water heater. With an intuitive design and remote control, you can easily and conveniently change temperature settings in increments of 1 degree increments ranging from 86°F to 140°F. This unit heats up to 1.7 gallons per minute (GPM), enough run 3 faucets simultaneously or 1 shower in warm climates (Results are based on 72˚F inlet water temperature and 105˚F outlet water temperature). The self-modulating technology utilizes inlet and outlet temperature sensors to optimize energy usage and keep water temperature consistent. The scale reduction technology extends the life of the unit by shielding heating element from water and scale buildup. This tankless water heater uses standard 1/2-in NPT water connections and does not require venting for simple, wall-mounted water heater installation.

This water heater does not work as advertised. Water does not reach the set temperature. I live on the gulf coast in a very mild climate and have yet to see 120 degree water. It is extremely difficult to install as stated in other reviews. The unit has to be wired and plumbed before you can even put the cover on which has to be screwed on from the back. Then it hangs on the wall like a picture. It’s a horrible product. Do not purchase it. And the only way to get a refund or exchange it you have to ship it back. So you have to purchase a new one before you can even get a refund. Very disappointed. ... show more

Bought this product and got excited to get GE for the cheap price tag. Well you get what you pay for. While it did arrive 2 days earlier than estimated, it requires a specific 40 amp breaker that you can only special order. The wiring was incredibly difficult to install. Then, once we got all the parts we were waiting for and ready to have hot water again, the product didn’t even work. We called GE and did troubleshooting and they said that it was likely a bad/faulty water heater and that we should call immediately to get a replacement. It would click on and was hooked up correctly just doesn’t work. Returning this immediately to Amazon and went with a different brand all together. ... show more
