  • The window mount is horrible.
Cons: incredibly loud even on the low setting. The piece to attach to your window is the most worthless piece of plastic known to man. You can screw it in but with metal windowsills thats a no go so its being held in with gorilla tape and is the weakest part of fhe entire product and looks horrible. It is absolutely massive which isnt a con per say but make sure you have the space. Pros: easy to set up minus the 20 minutes spent taping in the worthless window piece for the vent. It is cooling my area efficiently. At the end of the day its temporary and thats a good thing because the noise level is unbearable and the window piece is absolute garbage. ... show more

  • Works Great!
I have had a couple of different AC units with mixed results. Just got this one yesterday, and it is the best. It works great. There are some reviews on here that complain about how loud the unit is. I'm not sure what people expected. That is what ACs sound like. Nothing out of the ordinary or surprising here. Really solid AC. I finally got a good night's sleep in this crazy heat! I am VERY happy with this product. ... show more

  • Cooling a 500sqft garage in Florida!
This unit is working beautifully to cool our 500 sq ft garage in Florida! It replaced a brand new, 12,000BTU window unit that did not cool the area as we expected. This portable unit was SO much easier to set up/install than the window unit — it only took maybe 20 minutes, tops — and it is super easy to operate via the touch-sensitive buttons on its top. It turns on and off appropriately based upon the room temperature and seems to be relatively energy-efficient, though I certainly did notice an increase in our electric bill since we started using it. All in all, we are super happy with it and would definitely recommend it! ... show more

  • You don't need to remove your screen.
I have a couple of these at my business for emergency backup. The main A/C unit went down and we had events to host. These units were easy to put together, ran quietly, the screens did not need to be removed, so no worry about damaged screens. The staff could remove the exhaust duct from the window and lock the window at close up time. These would be great for any home that doesn't have central A/C and they are super easy to move from room to room as they are on wheels. ... show more

  • Happy with product
So far, so good. My very first air conditioner I’ve ever had. The exhaust tube seems to get pretty warm during operation. It’s fairly quiet. Quieter than the fan on my wood stove anyways. Simple operation. Automatic louver is cool. Cooled my living room and kitchen down pretty quickly- from 80 degrees to 65 degrees in about 3 hours space is about 60’x70’ with vaulted ceiling. I was impressed. Unit is heavy and sturdy. Doesn’t feel cheaply made. ... show more

  • Works well but the window kit didn’t work for us as the directions claimed it would.
The a/c unit itself works very well, but a little on the noisy side. The biggest issue I had was with the window kit. They make it sound like it will fit windows from 20”-46” but it doesn’t fit as advertised with my windows that fall within that size range.

  • Does the job. Exhaust vent is AWFUL.
It does the job. It worked HARD during the intense heat of our Pacific NW heatwave. 114 degrees outside, living in a top floor apartment with no AC would have been deadly. This unit was pushed to its limits and kept the heat in my room tolerable. I kept the temperature set at 75 because I didn't want to burn it out by expecting it to cool down to 68 or 70. It's loud. Air conditioners ARE loud. I wear earplugs to sleep and it's worth it. The one star I took away is because, as others have stated, the exhaust vent hose connection is AWFUL. It just DOES. NOT. STAY. TOGETHER! The hose also gets hot, as expected, and although I used all the duct tape I had on hand to keep the hose attached to the window panel (super classy), it popped off repeatedly. I had plenty of slack in the hose, no tension or pulling, but the connection is just horribly flawed. If you can keep it connected, and shooting the hot air OUTSIDE, then this Air conditioner is worth it. ... show more

  • Inside air conditioner
This single hose AC uses the inside room air to blow through the condenser . It uses the room’s air and exhausts it outside through the single hose . This causes a negative air pressure and hot air leaks into your house causing a negative net gain in cooling . It is almost as inefficient as setting a window AC unit in the middle of your room and turning it on . ... show more
