  • The red paint on the end of the spring means Leftside . NOT RED OF RIGHT
If you’re selling it to the DYi Customers some closed information ie: number of 1/4 turns between 28 to 32. Add marking L/H & R/H. Quality was excellent, and the cost was fair. Spring loading bars, extremely helpful!

  • Just follow directions - easy install
The spring came well packaged. It was exactly as was described and fit perfectly. Only problems I had with installation were of my own making. Following instructions step by step and you can not go wrong. I saved big bucks doing the job myself. Garage door works great. Buy with confidence.

  • worked like a charm, but could cause injury if you don't know what you are doing...
GDN Garage Door Torsion Spring, 30" Length, 2" Inside Diameter, 0.25 Wire Size, Right Wound Got this to replace my broken garage door spring. These are dangerous, so if you aren't sure of yourself, get someone who knows how to do it for you. Make sure you oil up the new spring after you install it from one end to the other, or it will cause it to fail prematurely. Mine worked like a charm.Be sure to have the proper tools like Winding Rod For Torsion Springs in the proper size. ... show more

  • Good product
It's wasn't as easy as I thought I would be but I'll give it 2outof5 of hard it is time consuming. And it was my first time ever messing with a garage door 🤣 but I was done

  • Be sure of your capability
Should watch a number of installation videos before the DIY. It’s not difficult, but one mistake could cost your life. Use the right torsion bars (not screwdrivers, etc), ensure solid placement each 1/4 turn, and don’t stand in a ladder right in front of the bars and spring cap. Past that, you’ll save a few hundred dollars for an hour or so effort. ... show more

  • Perfect replacement
I couldn't be more pleased with the spring itself. I ordered it on a Saturday afternoon, they shipped on Monday, and arrived across the country on Friday afternoon. It took about 40 minutes to remove the busted spring and replace it with this exact match replacement. I have a 7' x 16' garage door that had a similar spring with these matching specifications. It took 32 quarter turns to get the door in proper balance, 2 more than I was expecting, but that is mostly due to the insulation kit that I had added to my door creating some additional weight. Very pleased with the product, and would definitely order again. ... show more

  • Needed to replace one on our door
Replaced an old spring that had broken. It was fairly easy for my husband to install, but he is pretty handy. He had installed the original door. It works great. Arrived quickly and was as promised

Seem to work well when first installed, but broke after about 6 months of use.
