We overspent on a beautiful fancypants mattress a few years ago. This mattress was supposedly usable without a box spring, so we had it on top of the wood slats of our nice king-sized bed. Being not-petite people with an active bedtime life, we were perhaps putting it beyond its usual paces. One day I looked at the bed and was like, "There are two person-shaped divots in this thing for which we spent many dollars, this is not great." I also nearly died when the mattress fell out of the bed frame one particular rigorous Saturday morning. IYKYK. What to do. Buy another expensive mattress? Ouch. An old-timey box-spring? We wouldn't have been able to maneuver a king-sized box spring into our awkward-but-lovely attic bedroom space. I bought this thing on impulse. Putting it together was simple but awkward. Have lots of room, and be sure you have a capable helper. It's completely transformed that poor mattress! Our bed is sturdy and a happy place to be anytime. I sleep like a well-fed baby. Highly recommend.

Once it is together it works great! It took me a while to build it by myself. From being packed some of the bars wouldn’t open up all the way so holes wouldn’t line up. After playing with it for a bit things finally straightened out and I was able to get it built. Very sturdy once it’s all together.

Easy Install me and kids opened new box placed all parts on the floor. Assembly was easy due to simple hinge lay frame pieces out next step screws & bolts & tools came with it. Use tools to tighten everything. Follow simple instructions included. After frame is together place bed cover on top. I did not use the tools included. I used a power drill & included Allen wrench. ***Experience Tip screw in the middle Frame brackets first w/included screws and bolts 20 mins . I used a power drill

They want you to build from the center but the fit in the center is not great. Once past that part, it goes well and it seems pretty sturdy. Put out king-size matress from Way-Fair on it and it works fine. lightweight so it will move on you if you're not careful. But a decent item for the price. Note! the case for it is like a sheet with corners that just fold over. It is not a full bag, if that matters. I'd think it makes cleaning easier and more thorough.
