I like the binding feature, much quicker than my old one. The handle on the side for punching leaves room for upgrade, seems cheap and I'm afraid to put more than 4 sheets of paper in afraid it will break.

The GBC CombBind is easy to use. It is a very well built and sturdy binder. The long engage cutter arm make binding a snap. I do reccomend the binding machine to all that have need of a binding solution.

Not a very good product. Could only punch about 3 sheets at a time had to press extremely hard to punch successfully. Edges have to be very careful or they won't line up properly.

Item I received was damaged, however I was able to try it out before returning the item. Seemed to be well made but the paper was difficult to insert in the punching slot and tended to crease the top sheets. Only worked well in my opinion when punching less than 5 sheets at a time. Not acceptable for my purposes. I returned it in favor of the larger C20 unit. Would probably work for home type occasional users binding smaller documents of 29 sheets or less. I would not recommend this unit for any type of volume or larger documents due to the inability to accurately punch more than 5 sheets at a time. ... show more

    • Does the job, with some adjustments!
I love this thing, I use it mainly to bind materials for school and for the price I bought it at I really can't complain. It does, however, have one major flaw that I imagine a lot of people will have trouble with. The slot to insert paper for punching is quite poorly designed and if your paper is not absolutely flat (curled a little at the edges) it will catch on the edges of the puncher and not insert fully underneath it. It'll also crease the top pages. It's a pain when this happens, because it won't punch evenly or will only punch the very edges making your paper useless. What I've done to work around this is to lay a length of tape down on the front of the machine that will correspond to the edge of the paper when it's inserted properly. That way I can tell if it's fully inserted and will punch fully. If I can't get the paper to correspond with that line because a sheet has caught on somewhere I slide a bookmark (should be relatively stiff) across the top sheet while pushing it in. This presses down the paper so it can slide under the puncher. It works like a charm, and is very easy to do. Using the bookmark trick also helps me insert 12-15 pages at a go. There's no guide for punching A5 paper, but I've found that using the USA over-sized setting and aligning my paper completely to the left works quite well. ... show more
