Description

Gazelle Tents™ rugged design and ease of set up makes the perfect ground tent for your next overland or car camping excursion. The T4 Plus Hub Tent Overland Edition has all the same great features of the T4 Plus Hub Tent, with additional upgrades designed specifically for overlanding. The T4 Plus Overland Edition includes a durable 300 denier polyester footprint for floor protection. Use the upgraded All-Terrain stakes to set up camp in even the toughest soil conditions. The oversized water-resistant duffle bag makes packing up your tent simple. It’s spacious 110 sq ft. design allows you to camp up to eight people with plenty of extra room for gear. The convertible screen room provides added leisure area but quickly converts into a sleeping space with the use of zippered privacy panels when needed. It stands 78” tall allowing you to move around freely between each designated space. The T4 Plus Overland Edition is ready to use right from the bag, no assembly, and no loose parts. It sets up quickly and easily using unique hub technology. You can be set up from bag to base camp in 90 seconds or less. The large main entrance has been redesigned with added structure allowing for easier load in. The shell is constructed from 210 denier Oxford weave polyester that is waterproof up to 2000MM HH rating and has a UV50+ rating. The floors are made from a 300 denier Oxford weave polyester for strength and durability and can be removed for easy clean up. The Good This tent delivers where it counts. It comfortably fits 4–5 people with plenty of interior space, and the generous rainfly is a game-changer in heavy rain — we've used it twice now in significant downpours and the inside stayed impressively dry both times. A few drops appeared in the back left corner, but that's a major improvement over our previous tent. Setup is straightforward, and the multiple storage pockets are a nice touch for keeping gear organized. The Not-So-Good At this price point, a few design choices are hard to overlook. The front screen door opens from the outside, meaning you have to step out of the tent every time you want to open or close it — a small but frustrating oversight that should really be accessible from the inside. The poles are also a bit tricky to fit together; even after two uses, the assembly feels slightly off and could use clearer guidance. Finally, it's a heavy tent, and the packed size is larger than expected — it wouldn't fit flat in a 5-foot truck bed and had to be loaded diagonally. Bottom Line If rain protection is your priority, this tent delivers. We're avid campers who wanted something that could handle the elements, and it passes that test. We recently broke in our new Gazelle T4 Hub Tent with a backyard camping night, and it’s safe to say—this thing is a game-changer. Setup was insanely fast. I had it up in under 2 minutes while my son snuck in a little screen time (dad duties, right?). The hub system is brilliant—no fighting with poles or guessing what goes where. Once it was up, the interior space blew us away. My son and I had plenty of room to stretch out with our gear, and the vertical walls made it feel way bigger than a standard dome-style tent. Ventilation was solid, and the material felt durable enough to handle more rugged use once we hit the trails or state parks. What sealed the deal for me was the feeling of security and sturdiness. Even with a breeze rolling in, the Gazelle didn’t budge. Zippers were smooth, mesh was tight, and the floor is tough—no worries about gear poking through. This tent is awesome! Set up is simple but I suggest you take the time to read the manual and watch a view set up videos! Plenty of room and I did test it in the rain and inside of the tent was dry. One person can set the Gazelle T4 plus but it’s faster with another person helping with the set up. ( The standard T4 can be set up with just on person with no difficulty.) ... show more

    • Solid construction with thoughtful touches
Solid construction - heavier than I imagined (despite knowing the weight). And a huge unit to tote. Needs a roof or truck bed. A little learning curve to get it up inside 5-10 minutes, but easy once you’ve done it a time or two.

Although a little pricey, this tent is awesome. It is very high quality and has held up well over multiple camping trips. It is a little complex to pop up, but once you figure it out, it gets easier every time. Just make sure you read the instructions first and you will be fine lol. The only other thing to consider is the size. Even the bag itself is massive. Just make sure you have someone strong to carry it when needed, it's definitely not one of those small tents you can get from Walmart. ... show more
