Sometimes the simple things are the best. These are easy to use, just strap them onto your work boots or shoes and go add to your step count for the day while aerating your yard. I have never aerated my lawn BUT when I saw these I figured why not give them a try. When they arrived I thought they were going to be SO BIG on me but they actually were not too bad. I wear a womens size 8 shoe and had on crocs only when I strapped these on. I expected them to hurt my feet or ankles but they just felt a little awkward at first. To see if they make a difference I decided to walk on one area of my lawn once per week for three weeks. I did this every Friday afternoon and then waited two weeks before I "looked" to see if there was any difference. So far I cannot tell any difference - but, it is just now the beginning of April and my grass honestly doesnt even need to be mowed yet. They did not come with any instructions or guide so I am not certain how long it SHOULD take to see a difference. Perhaps it needs another month.

Within a couple of minutes of wearing these I started noticing small nuts appearing in my lawn, I initially thought they were left behind by previous workers. That was, until I started noticing large nails in the lawn too. I was shocked at how little use made these fall apart, I didn’t expect these to last forever, but I expected to get a single use, at least. I didn’t even get that. And I’m only 170lbs. If you weigh less you will have a very hard time depressing the springs. If you weigh more, I doubt you would get 1 minute of use before they fall apart. These were not the cheapest option, I thought by buying these I would get better quality. I was terribly wrong. Buyer beware.

Just walk around your yard while drinking your favorite beverage. You do have to tighten the nuts on the spikes every once in a while but not a big deal. You could just put some loctite on them if you were so inclined.

These are much easier to use and less strain on the back and shoulders to use the foot attachments than the versions that are used by hand. You do need to have good balance to use them, not ideal for older individuals with balance issues. Works really well for aerating the yard and encouraging healthy grass growth, I can already see an improvement in my back yard since using them. Good product for the price. Seems durable (only used a few times so far, and works well with different size shoes. (women's size 9.5 and men's 10)

These lawn aerator shoes made my job of working on the lawn a lot more fun. They are very sturdy and I found them comfortable. I have very small feet so I put on a bigger pair of boots so that the straps would hold on. That worked really well the straps are built with quality to really hug onto your shoes or boots. It felt really springy walking through the lawn and you can definitely tell a difference where you've walked. It makes it very easy to prepare your lawn for seeding or fertilizing, along with just even watering. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five, was because some of the bolts were very loose when I first put them on and they were falling off as I started working on the lawn. That however was an easy fix I just had to tighten them all up. So just as a precaution if you buy these make sure that you tighten all the bolts before you use them. They are definitely worth the price as they should last 4 years and you don't have to rent equipment or hire someone to aerate the lawn.
