This company stands behind their product and was not happy that the item had been less than satisfatory so they sent me a brand new one even though it was past a year and I had not requested a replacement, so I'll give it a nother try. The replacment is quieter than the 1st one and comes with extra gadgets like a mixer attachement which looks very promising (haven't tried it yet) and the speed settings which work better than the original are augmented with a "turbo" button that gives it a nice boost. I'll give this a 4 star rating for now & will upgrade to a 5 star if it behaves well. (previous review)I certainly can't recommend this one. seemed fine it the beginning, very strong but...for all the many power levels there really is not much difference between them, no slow subtle setting to be had just fast and faster, lots of splattering. And now almost a year in, it has decided that it doesn't like hard work and will not work on thicker items like when I puree beans etc. so it just spins like the motor does not engage, it will work again later but only on easy things. ... show more

The original unit I purchased went to crap within the first few uses. I ended up getting a replacement from an alternate source. I received an email months later from the company stating that they would like to right this wrong. I received the new unit a few days ago and it seems to be in great working condition. the only down fall is due to the upgrade in style of the unit, all original attachments were not useable with the new one. The style and feel of the new unit is excellent and the egg beater attachment is actually pretty cool. The food processer attachment worked really well for what I needed as I have bad arthritis and can nolonger chop as fine as I would like too. All and all, the replacement seems much stronger and is all together better. Good choice for someone who needs a good alternative to hand mincing and egg beating lol. I am thankful for their care in replacing the original non-working unit. ... show more

This machine is superb! Literally just finished a strawberry shake I made with frozen strawberries and milk. Earlier I used the whisk to make whipped cream and the other day I made salsa within just a couple minutes. I put chopped up some sausage the other day. Wanted to mince up the links. Worked perfectly! The chopping wand is great and with the plastic shield you don’t need to worry about scratching your non-stick pans. Puréed a hot squash soup right in the pan! The blades on this machine are no joke and the powerful motor doesn’t struggle in the least. So glad I bought this!!! Now, one single issue. The blades on this are very strong and sharp. My girlfriend accidentally placed her fingers at the end of the wand and it chewed her fingertip up a little. You MUST be very careful with ANY immersion blender. The wand blade is not fully enclosed and it’s no place for your fingers!!! The blade in the chopping bowl is nearly razor sharp. That’s great but you need to be very careful with it! It will cut you if you aren’t careful!!! The design of this Gavasto blender is exceptional and I’m glad I bought it. Wasn’t thrilled about the $75 price tag (what can I say, I’m cheap) but I got way more than every penny’s worth. I waited to review this until I had a chance to use its features and I’m happy I did. I’d recommend this to anyone! Just be very careful using any immersion blender!!! I haven’t the slightest regret in buying this and you won’t either. My girlfriend is on the fence. ... show more
