  • Amazon, i love it
Style: Basic (700 Watts)
Perfect blender, simple, practical but it does its job. I love that I can make my smoothies and frappes in it, and I also love the glass container that makes it more hygienic.

  • Broke After 2.5 Years. Buying another one.
Style: Basic (700 Watts)
-Bought this blender 2.5 years ago when I moved out -Have used it roughly 2x a day each day for a frozen spinach and banana smoothie 2x a day. -It broke and would not start randomly, however, after around 912.5 uses? I'm fine with that reality. I just bought a new company blender (which was way more expensive) and there's this rubber smell it's emitting when blending certain things. I'm not set if I'm going to return it or not? So I bought this just in case. I cannot be without a smoothie for a day LOL. TLDR: This blender is amazing for the money and does the job. No, it doesn't blend everything down into a fine paste, but honestly it was good enough for me for 2.5 years! I loved it. ... show more

  • Great Blender, Great Customer Service
Style: Basic (700 Watts)
I love this blender. The glass container is thick and heavy as it should be, especially if you're putting ice or frozen foodstuffs in it. The motor is quite powerful and relatively quiet as far as blenders go. After about a year, a tab on the lid tore, so I called B&D about it and they promptly replaced the lid free of charge. ... show more

  • More Pros than Cons
Style: Countertop Blenders
It is loud enough to wake up a baby in the next room, it's definitely not the loudest blender, but to call it quiet is an overstatement. The last blender I had I would put on top of a pillow to quiet down because it was incredibly loud, so relative to that this one is almost pleasant to use. It's well built, the blades are safely dull. I add dates as an alternative to sugar, they do not blend well, there are always big pieces. There is gap around the blades on the bottom which food falls into and gets stuck. The blender always has to be taken apart to clean this area. It is a circular gap between the blade holder and the glass. The blender is powerful and blends carrots and whatnot into a puree. The result is still pulpy, but not chunky, except with the dates. It doesn't bubble up so even with less water than needed, it still pulls everything down and blends it. It is much more effective than something $20 cheaper in my experience. It's a well built and effective blender for the typical tasks one would expect a basic blender to do. It's not comparable to any specialized blender that is able to do fancy nut butters or whatever they do. I made the choice to get this and supplement with a food processor. It has some design flaws but still manages to be effective. I use it for hot and cold liquids. It is a glass jar. I never use the weird pour spouts in the lid because they have nooks and crannies to clean, I just take the lid off. The rubber feet are nice because they are not glued on, if they come off you can just put them back on. This blender is powerful. This is slightly better than most blenders, and not in the same class as the more expensive ones. It's just a blender. ... show more

  • Awesome Buy!
Style: Basic (700 Watts)
I love this blender, it works great. It can blend a lot at one time. Just make sure when you first use it that the bottom is screwed on all the way because mine wasn’t and it made a huge mess! 😅

  • Great blender!
Style: Countertop Blenders
I’ve been very pleased with this blender. I make smoothies with it almost every day and it not only blends frozen milk cubes but “sticky” fruits like prunes very well. I don’t believe any blender can be termed “quiet” but it is much quieter than my previous blender. The first few times I used it, I had trouble taking it apart to clean it and my husband had to help me but now it’s easy for me to disassemble it myself. I also originally had a small amount of leakage but that is no longer a problem. So, if you’re concerned about it the first few times you use it, hang in there; it will work better the more it is used! ... show more

  • Simple and solid. Sounds a little rough, but plenty of power.
Style: Basic (700 Watts)
Chops stuff up. It's heavy and stable, but I still hold the pitcher-thing in place because I'm paranoid. I love the simple controls! It's nice to see that appliances still exist which don't have giant, fancy touchscreens. Something about the sound of the motor (or gearing, maybe) isn't confidence-inspiring, but it certainly has plenty of power. ... show more

  • Makes good milkshakes
Style: Countertop Blenders
Great for making milkshakes - that's mainly what I'm using it for. Powerful motor, but needs a low-speed setting - a variable speed dial would be perfect. When I'm using milk with frozen fruit and veggies (.5-inch pieces) in the supplied plastic drinking glass (not the jar), even the lowest speed sounds and feels like the whole thing is going to explode on the counter. Sounds like the gears are grinding and stripping - like trying to shift a manual transmission without pushing in the clutch. Even with the base and glass tightly screwed together, it somehow leaks and squirts out while blending. Pulsing the frozen ingredients before blending doesn't help much either. I pulse a dozen times but it still vibrates and makes horrible, loud grinding/stripping noises, even after everything is smoothly blended, so it's not the hard, frozen food causing it. The gears and couplers are all plastic and I really believe they're going to crack apart every time I use it, which is every morning. We'll see how long it lasts. I'll do a follow-up review in a few months, if it lasts that long. ... show more
