I had the predecessor to this Ninja for approx 10 years. It was great. I finally wore the motor out, but it did a great job for a long time. I bought the updated model as a replacement. This one is even better. The old model had two minor issues - 1) It tended to "walk" all over the countertop due to vibrations. 2) You had to put the container lid down, and then twist it to lock it in place. And sometimes it would vibrate and it the container would turn just enough to unlock itself, and I had to go put twist and lock it and usually just hold it into place. This model solves both of those issues in a big way. The suction cups solve the walking issue, and there's a different mechanism in place to lock the container and lid into place. I haven't once had an issue with the container. This thing crushes through ice and frozen fruits like it's a day in the park. I make smoothies most days with ice, frozen fruit, almond/walnut milk, and very powdered concoctions. Very smooth and delicious. Negatives? I'm not going to lie. This thing would wake the dead if it was near a graveyard. It's loud. But I think it has to be to crush through the ice. All in all, highly recommended. ... show more

I began this purchase by eyeing an envelope of Matcha powder I needed to go through, but how .. the idea of a Matcha Shake seemed appealing so I started researching options and models, settled on this 1 kW model of Ninja. Ordered it for the breakroom at work. First foray was unimpressive as I just threw some fruit and almond creme ice cream in and made something soupy. It was OK, but not what I had in mind. Co-worker has been throwing kale and blueberries into it and liked her results. I was finally ready to try something I'd always had in mind: 2nd experiment -- The Matcha Fluffy 1 Banana (peeled) 1 Avocado (peeled and seeded) 2 Scoops vanilla ice cream (I use almond creme, due to dairy allergy) 1/4 cup Milk (or Rice Milk) 1 Tsp Match power Blend about 20 seconds, use Pulse a few times Decant, scrape, spatulize, whatever, into drinking vessel. It came out light and fluffy, mild taste and the characteristic matcha zing. I could definitely get used to these... Good product, easy to clean, does its job. ... show more

I read a lot of reviews before this purchase and am glad i chose this product. The entire unit is sturdy as my other ninja appliances. The power is great! Im blending smoothies that have frozen fruits, ice andmseeds as well as fresh fruits and veggies. I start off with a couple pulses, then just hit start until finished. I dont use the auto blend, but it is a neat feature, my smoothies just dont need that minute of blending...it works that well. I have had no leaking issues at lids or blade attachment and I push the fill limit. There have been reviews on the rubber gasket or seal being moldy. It comes out easily, cleans easily and goes right back in just fine. Don't put it all back together wet, and clean it well, that's it. The lids are nice and sturdy with good size sip opening, also good for large reusable straws. The plastic body cup seems durable. I read complaints that it's loud....It's a blender. It's loud. It's powerful and takes all of 30 seconds, maybe, to have your smoothie ready. Just buy this one, you'll be happy. ... show more

I got this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he has used it almost twice a day, every day since. It's very sturdy and durable. Make sure you put it on a stable surface before using. We originally put it on top of our roll-away dishwasher and it was so strong that it made the entire thing shake and move around. IT has suction cups on the bottom to keep it from scooting across the counter though so that's a good feature. I love the auto-IQ buttons. This blender does an amazing job of juicing fruits and veggies. I am impressed with the pulverization of strawberry seeds. I'm not sure why but it doesn't seem to work as well on black berry seeds. Maybe they're tougher? It does a great job with fibrous stuff like apples and celery. I personally like it for my keto diet because I can mix almond milk with strawberries and have a yummy treat. I haven't had an leaking problems with the blade or lid attachments. I will say though, don't put either attachment on too tightly or you may struggle to get it off. It seems to suction itself onto the cup. A few times I got worried that I wouldn't be able to get the lid off. I also find all the pieces easy to clean. Overall, great product!     • Love the Auto IQ feature. No serial # so here's how to register the blender.
I had deliberated quite a bit over whether to get the Ninja Pro or the Ninja Auto IQ and I'm very glad I bought the Auto IQ. Being able to press a button and walk away is hugely useful and worth the small $ to upgrade. Although I read that the blender is terribly loud, I was surprised that it was not as loud as I anticipated. (Mind you, you could use this for an alarm clock if someone nearby is sleeping but I was expecting jackhammer noise.) When I tried to register the blender I couldn't find the serial number anywhere, so I ended up calling the 800 number in the instructions. Turns out there is no serial number for this product. Instead, customer service will ask you for a 4 digit number on the prong of the plug and they use that for registration purposes. Weird, but that's what worked for me. I like the small footprint of the blender and it is very easy to use. Although the cups and lids and blade assembly are dishwasher safe in the top rack, I always wash by hand. I haven't had to clean the seal in the blade assembly yet but that might prove to be a challenge. I'm also glad I purchased something with 1000 watts power. Even with that wattage some of my dry ingredients stick to the sides of the cup and don't get fully blended. But overall, I'd say this is a decent blender for a specific purpose and will be used often. ... show more
