It is amazing what electrolytes do, how they aren't even a thought for so many people, and how quickly their deficiency can jump up and bite you. Since I've greatly cleaned up my diet, been losing weight, and being much more active outdoors I've slowly realized that I was not getting enough electrolytes in some situations. Twice last summer I got hit with mild heat exhaustion while hiking and that was when I put the pieces together that just drinking water and fruit juice and eating a bit of food was not doing it for me on hot, active days. This year I picked up running and so I have been yet more active outdoors in the heat than ever before. The difference drinking this on a hot day in them middle of a run compared to plain water or even fruit juices is just amazing. After I've had a drink I can taste the succor and satisfaction of the salt on my tongue for minutes afterwards. I've had days where my run feels tough and my heart rate is high, then after 30 minutes I stop and drink some of this and suddenly I can feel the relief, my pace picks up while my heart rate comes under better control. I've found out I need to figure out my day-to-day/prehydration routine a bit more, but this provides to much help and relief for those who actually need those precious electolytes and aren't getting them elsewhere. Also, I know there are a dozen fancy tablets or more trendy electrolyte options, but how expensive and pretentious can they make salty sugar water? For me, finding a simple, economical option and not going through a ton of disposable packaging were important aspects that led me to gatorade endurance.

I guess there are people out there who like lemon/lime flavor? I am not a fan. I chose this flavor because that is what they use at the NYC Marathon and I figured I had better get used to it. But it's not great. Everything else about it is just fine. Hydrates, energized, replenishes - all that good stuff. Just be aware, it doesn't dissolve quite as well as some other so be sure to shake it frequently as you drink it or you will be left with a clump of powder at the bottom of your cup/bottle

I waffled back and forth between 3 and 4 stars. Because this product works. It's Gatorade that's great for using for my long bike rides. And I don't have to keep 40 bottles of it cold in my fridge. I used it for a 6 hour ride and a 10 hour ride. Both times I had no issues and I felt great and had no hydration or electrolyte issues. I can tell when I don't get enough electrolytes because I'll feel tired and extra thirsty, but water just won't help, until I have some Gatorade or electrolytes of some kind. This product works. I've mixed it into my bottles and used to as needed which is great. However, it's not as sweet as your standard Gatorade. Probably because it has extra electrolytes in it which make the drink more bland and less sweet. Also, it's a very fine powder which tends to waft all over the place just from putting the scoop in the can. No matter how carefully I pour it into my wide-mouth bottle, I always end up with sticky hands and some fine powder all over the counter. And then there's the clumping. At first I would pour it directly into my bottles and then shake it up. I'm using 1 liter (30oz) bottles. I put in 3 scoops which is the recommended amount for 24oz. So, my mix has extra water which should help it mix better. Yet, no matter how hard I shake it, I always ends up with clumps on the bottom that just won't mix. I've resorted to mixing it in a large 32oz stadium souvenir cup a whisk. And even then I still end up with clumps that just won't mix. Based on the clumping issue I want to give it 3 stars. Yet, the product does it's job. So, really 3.5 stars, but because I can't do that, I've given it 4. But the clumping is VERY annoying. I will probably not buy this product again and stick to buying it in bottles.

Ok. Been working in Machine Shops and Mechanics Garages in Louisiana for over 20 years, so I know a little about keeping hydrated, especially with Gatorade…my drink of choice. Here’s the thing; why would you pay twice as much for half the drink mix, then have to use at least 3 times the amount to even come close to what it’s supposed to taste like?!? Answer; I WILL NOT EVER AGAIN…bc that’s what happened when I tried this “stuff”. Totally disappointed in just about every way, except you get a better container when it’s empty…which in my case was less than a week. I drink at least between 1 and 2 GALLONS of Gatorade DAILY (no jokes here). I usually just get the large container of regular Gatorade, and that can last me up to a couple weeks maybe longer, depends on how much water I also drink (you can’t drink over a gallon of Gatorade daily for months at a time, it helps to get some water and even like a Coke or something as well). Too much Brondo ain’t that good for you. Just disappointed completely, taste is off…quite bad actually if you follow directions, again the amount is a joke, and finally the amount of mix you have to use is freakishly large…and still don’t taste right. Your better off with the $13 “Tall Boy”…the orange paper can that’s like 18” tall, regular ole Gatorade mix, this stuff will not replace the original, ever.
