Ordered this for my husband for Christmas. He wanted a Tonneau cover, but we were not interested in a hard top or breaking the bank for one. The order came rather quickly. The installation was rather painless, with easy instructions. The fit was snug, but definitely not too tight! This cover folds up nicely, stores well when not rolled out, and survived a large snow storm so far. We had a recent spring snow storm that dumped over 26" of snow over a weekend. The cover held up nicely, no stretching or breaks in braces. We were concerned as this snow was super heavy and wet, but it fared really well! My dad has same cover, and his did not get cleaned off at any point during the storm. His held up just as well! No issues, and highly recommend. ... show more

    • Great Tonneau Cover for the price
The cover is great and easy to install. However, there were minor adjustments that I had to do with my tundra shortbed. 1.) Since my truck has a bedliner, I had to cut a notch on both front side of the bed for the rails to be fit snuggly, otherwise you will have a gap of maybe 1/4". 2.) I wish the rubber flap that sits over the front of the bed should be a little longer for security to cover from moisture and or water when washing your truck. 3.) The clamps and rails that came with it could be a better (i.e clamp teeth are too shallow and the rail grips are too shallow so it slips when tightening the nuts and bolts. 4.) The nuts and bolts could be better, they were very rough, it seems to me that the nuts are not really the right fit; I bought new fine threaded nuts and bolts at Home Depot and worked great. Overall for the price, this gator etx model tonneau cover looks very nice and I'm happy with it. If you're purchasing this item for this price, be prepared to make some adjustments especially if you have a bedliner. ... show more

Can speak to the weatherproof of this one since it hasn’t rained since install but just from looking at it I don’t see much, if any, water getting in. Good solid product, looked a little intimidating to install while taking care of my 2 year old but he sat in the truck bed and let me tackle it in about 30 minutes. Not as low profile as my old retractable bed cover, but that thing was 5x the price and had too many parts that failed. This is simpler and definitely not as high as a tri fold bed cover like I’ve also had in the past. Fit my tundra perfectly. Glad I went with this over trying to find a used one on marketplace. ... show more

Fits perfectly and is exactly what I wanted. Very easy to install only takes about 20 minutes. Instructions will tell you how to install without the Toyota factory cargo management rails- Do Not install with out the cargo management system- it will work but not properly. You can order the Toyota OEM rails for $150 online. 10/10 would recommend my neighbor actually just got the same cover after seeing mine installed. ... show more

Difficult to purchase a tonneau cover off the internet with only a picture. I bought off of pics and reviews. The videos on Youtube really helped with the installation process. Straight forward and have a buddy to help if you can. The product is good quality. Know that some adjusting is necessary for a proper fit. Another good reason to have a buddy with you. Looks good and I believe the rubber strips and hard foam will keep most of the weather out of the bed. Low profile appearance and easy to roll and unroll. Only downside is limited use of the tiedowns if you use the rail system to clamp. You can only slide the cleats so far before they run into a side rail clamp. Not a problem for me but if you need to tie down frequently it could bother some. ... show more

I loved the price, when compared to other covers. It was easy to install with a simple socket wrench and two sockets (1/2” and 9/16”). My total install time was about 45 minutes. I even had to call into the customer service line to order new retention clips (this was a christmas gift and the person ordering got the clips with a track system, I do not have a track system) and the customer service line was prompt and courteous. Obviously, I just installed so I cannot discuss issues with longevity, but even if I had to replace this every 3 or 4 years due to wear and tear, the price to buy new and replace would still be better than buying some of the $500-$900 models or more. ... show more
