This is very easy to install and is very secure. It’s not completely waterproof but what little water comes in runs down the inside of the truck tailgate and back out. With the bed rug your stuff is very safe from water. The front foam / seal doesn’t want to stick in place very well but the way it’s built it doesn’t let water in there anyway. Installed on 2018 Ram 1500 with 5’ 7” bed. Took about an hour to install and adjust. I did it by myself but would be easier with a second set of hands. Instructions are pretty straightforward. It fits nicely and looks great. It’s as secure as you can get with a cover of this style. Have not seen any change in gas mileage. No water/ leaking from rain but did get some water in the bed after going thru car wash. Will definitely serve its purpose for me. Keep things mostly dry and out of plain sight. I researched all covers before deciding to go with the Gator. I'm sure you could pay more, but I doubt you could find one that is better than this cover. Looks good, easy to clean, fairly simple to install. I read the installation instructions, viewed the parts list, and installed with no issues. With no help I had it clamped down in about 45 minutes. I could install it easily in less than 30 minutes now. I have noticed small amounts of water after hard rains; however, not enough to be concerned with. The clamps were much better than I had expected and worked perfectly. If you are not used to working with mechanical components, you might want to get a second pair of hands to assist in mounting the rails. Would purchase again. ... show more

This is a top quality cover at a great price point. Its less than the $1K ones but Way better than the $300 soft roll-ups. Install time is 30minutes or less HINT: use a pair of clamps when putting on the bed rails, it a second set of hands and helps keep it level. Takes less than 5 minutes to remove and re-install. Hard Tri-Fold for my 2018 Ram 1500. I have the factory bed liner and this tonneau cover installed just fine without any modifications to cover or bed liner. It took me about 30 minutes to install by myself, it would only take 15 if I had to do it again. I like being able to release the latches on both sides with the single cable pull. This means you can open the cover from either side. The only thing that could be improved is the weatherstripping for the front edge. The supplied weatherstripping is flimsy and doesn't provide a good seal where there is a gap between the front and side liner pieces. I'll probably have to put some clear silicon caulk in that gap. Other than that this cover works perfectly. Warning, in direct sun it gets very hot and isn't pleasant to touch. ... show more

Excellent product! Unlike most truck covers, this one has parts made out of metal and not flimsy plastic (looking at you, Mopar). Cover is amazingly easy to install and the directions are easy to follow. You will need a 1/2” socket and a pair of scissors to do the install. Was easy to install. First time I washed the truck, I sprayed the cover with the hose quite a bit. When I opened the tailgate, totally dry inside. I like the looks and durability of this cover.

Unboxing: impressed by materials, good packaging...but two round black spacers were missing. I’ve tried to improvise with dowels, etc. Installed: looks great, nice features, nearly watertight. However, the installation does not stay in place over the long haul. Needs adjusted and retightened. If anything in your bed slides into the anchoring system which ends up being several inches inside the cargo location of the truck, you have an instant problem. Bottom line: nice look, quality materials. Attachment design needs some rethinking. And quality control that can count to six. Or just throw in a few extra for goodness sake.
